My wife  had an idea today. The last thing you would want to happen is for all your neighbors to know you are prepared when tshtf, right?

We figured that we will do all of our preps and organise or bug out bags when bird flu actually strikes! That way no one will suspect that we are informed and prepared folks

May the Force be with you...

That could be dangerous. Why not just do it now, hide your supplies in a spare closet or something, and just not tell anyone? If people ask what all the extra supplies are for, just say "I'm restocking my winter emergency kits" or "I'm preparing for tornado/hurricane season". If they ask why you are messing with your windows (like sealing and putting plastic up, just complain about the outragous cost of heat.

Why not urge your neighbors to prep too? I will do just that and I will tell them everyone is on their own for supplies.
