Bicycles....and in a few years (as I get older) an electric bike (followed, hopefully years later, by an electric mobility scooter).

In the country where I am living about 60% of all trips under 2 km (about 1½ miles) is made by car, it is this sort of situation where change is need. One local baker delivers her bread to the local shop using an electric bike and trailer (her journey is about 8km/5 miles) and I guess she is in her 50 so spring chicken.
