Does anybody remember Bill Clinton trying to stop the airing of the ABC movie, "The Path to 9-11 ? He couldn't stop the moving from being shown. But, even after the "revisions" and the softning of the TRUTH, the dramatization was a devestating indictment of incompetence and disregard for the security of America!!
But, The clintons are supposed to be against "censorship"......just let them tell you>

We've already had a year of politickin' and we're in for another 11 months of it before the elections. Tell ya what, i'm already tired of it. I haven't seen any of the dumocrat debates, cause i'm a Republican...but even then, i've only caught bits and pieces of the debates for my party. Sad but true.
I'va cast my vote for McCain. Voted for him in 2000, but supported Bush when the party nominated him and not McCain. I've a bad feeling the dems will win this one. and i'm hopin they do the right thing and pick a candidate that won't the divide the country along racial lines...not that this country isn't already divided like that. Given the choice, of electing the first BLACK man or the first white WOMAN to office...damn, that's a hard one for me. I'm not bigoted or prejudiced...but i just don't think the country is ready to elect either one.
Course, my opinion and maybe $5 will buy you a cup of coffee...inflation, you know...

Here's a new idea...how about a Congress in which both Houses are Constitutionally evenly-split between Democrats and Republicans...voted on by the people every four years, just like the office of President and Vice President? There could never be a Congressional majority in either Party, with only the President being of either Party. The VP would be the loser of the general election for President.
Might this not force Congress to work together for the common good of the country? Eh, just a passing thought in the night.....

I think that Obama was disrespecting the flag. I'd seen a photo of this same event...but until just now, did not realize the anthem was being sung at that same moment. Just seeing the photo and not hearing the music, one might assume the anthem had just been sung, or had not begun yet.
Anytime the national anthem is played, civilians (including Obama) should stand with facing the flag with their hand over heart (like the other candidates on the stage were doing). Although it looked as if Richardson had to pee, and he looked sort of confused.
The real atrocity here was the singing! OMG...who the hell was that? Talk about butchering the national anthem!
I would watch for further Obama photo/news ops to see if he repeats his actions by not properly respecting the flag......

...............not properly respecting the flag?.Speaking of being petty! He's not disrespecting the flag. This causes you concern, when your guy/gal was blatenly disrespecting the 'OVAL Office" and the Presidencey itself, with a fat intern!! That's what I call "hypacritical"!!!.........Like I said before, I will not vote for Obama.....but, at least he's not a Phony!!
It amazes me how people on this web site are prepping and prepping because they distrust their Government being able to help during a pandemic....yet, they will vote for a candidate who will enlarge ( Raise taxes to do so ) our incompetent Government even more!

I see that Bill Clinton is claiming Voter suppression and fraud in Nevada, even though Hillary is leading and probably going to win. Bill and Hillary are going to protest if they lose.......WOW, these guy's are desperate to get back in the whitehouse. Bill has been getting quite "Angry" on the campaign trail! If he keeps up the high emotions, that ole "evil" heart of his might quit on him!! ......The close up shots on T.V. are showing on Hillary......that biddy is looking OLD!!!

I hate to burst your bubble, but the responsible people on this site have probably already made an INTELLIGENT choice that they hope to help vote into office. It's people with lunatic attitudes like yours that gives the rest of us the incentive to get out there and vote.
GO HILLARY!!!!!!!
God bless Jo

I have said it before and my belief is that we are headed for bad times financially .
There is a old saying in business and its a little known truth . that before you go bankrupt promote all the women There are alot of inside stories about the women of Exon . They had alot of power in the weeks before it colaspe. The secretaries were practically running the company and having long lunches shopping trips. / Anyways the point is .
If a women and a black man are the leaders in this election its because the powers that be in politics and think tanks know it going to be a bad run for who ever gets into office and will be blamed for what happens during the term.
Then a white man will be elected and will rescue us. Or so history will tell us.
Dont get me wronge I dont mean to be disrespectful of women or blacks just that I really think that thats is happening. They are being allowed to win.
There is a reason no one else has the funding to beat this two.
Bush has caused such a deficet with the Iraq war and the lending fiasco and the lack of real productivity .gnp . We are headed for stagnation. . No one wants to lead in bad times. .
The only thing that could change this trend is if the economy fall early. Before the votes are counted. the public then may want a more familiar face (white and male to lead the country.) Not that will save us but just be familiar.

I dont like any of the candidates . I still think the politiacians who have a chance are holding back from this election.
Troubled times ahead.
In all fairness I am a Canadian and I find your politics intersting. I dont get your lack of health care. I know its the commie fear.
Socialized medicine. oh my
I live in a country where if my son is sick I get adequate free medical services.
Sure we have waiting list to see a specialist but if its a emergency you can be treated quickly. You dont die on the waiting ists.
I am not poor in fact I am above average finacially own my own house and have income investments. But if my son or me got cancer the health care system would cover all costs. I dont risk finacial loss. The goverment does not cover the cost of drugs unless they are administered in the hospital.I can get a drug plan like your coverage to cover the cost of drugs. When I turn 65 all my drugs are covered.
Right now my brother has kidney failure / He gets a nurse who comes to the house and gives him injections for anemia . H e has a dietician who come weekly. We can get a person in twice a week to help with shopping and housework. The nurses are working to allow him to stay out of the hospitals.
He will start dialysis soon and will get a susidized bus or cab ride to drive him there three times a week.
I wouldve supported Hillary Clinton but she has backed out of health care.
I feel the American people have been sold a bil of goods by the drug companies and insurance companies who present universal healthcare as commie stuff. You get miss imformation about what our health care is really like. Michael Moore discribed it corectly . He did skim over the waiting lists.problem . But it really is a service we take for granted.
I couldnt live in a country where I could lose my fincial gains because of illness. I also couldnt fight with a insurance company.over payments In one way as a Canadian I benefit from your health care . If I want to not wait for service I can pay for your healthcare.
Still its sad that you dont have universal health care. We pay about the same in taxes. They sift it around . You have higher inheritance taxes . We have higher income taxes but less property taxes than you . We have hight sales taxes. Our lotteriy winning are not taxed
Yet none of the canidates are working toward universal health care. They all seem to be vague about their stance on the war with Iraq..

It's very, very sad that the Clinton's are in the process of destroying Obama. They have played the "Race" card masterfully....and have told lie after lie about Obama. For all you Democrats who think that Obama will run as Hillar'y running mate are badly mistaken.......As I told you before that "Dream" ticket will not happen. The Clinton's thought the Dem. Nomination was easily theirs! At Least Obama has made them fight and lie for it......

I have to agree with you,gypsy2. Was saddened to see Bill jump into the fray, hoped this campaign might be different. Silly me. Actually, I have been moved to the Obama camp as a result of these all-too-transparent attacks. I'm still with Sylvia Brown, wait until June when Obama will be the frontrunner. And the good news is there will be a Dem in the WH.
BTW, how do you like the paltry $300 rebate check to people making under $75,000? If the Fed and government is going to stimulate the economy, they ought to be able to do better than that. IMHO D |

Evergreen, you are right, 300.00? This shows you how the Feds think. I will probably vote Republican ( Maybe)....but Obama is much more a viable option than "tag team" Clinton. I guess if the BF hits we will recieve another check to make it better. Our Government needs change desperatley! I'm so sick of the status quo.

I think 8:00. Romney looks like he's in good shape. Mccain has only spent 500,000 dollars on advertising in Florida. From what I hear Romney is on T.V. non-stop in FLA! I think Romney is the most conservitive and has the most money among Republicans. According to the Wall street journal today......Mccain would Beat Hillary! But, would lose to Obama. Who really knows!
One big advantage to Romney in the General election ( my opinion )...would be he would have a good chance to carry Michigan and Ohio.....that would essentially lock-up the election! Hillary might win Arkansas ( The only Southern state she would carry ) but, it would not be enough!! I think we could see Hillary easily winning the Popular vote i.e. California and New York .....but losing the" Electorial College"....that my
take. If I'm wrong......I would be suprised!

I personally don't see a good one running for either party. They all look like second place winners to me, and it's really hard to make a choice when there are no great candidates. Guess I'll decide at the last minute this time.

it appears that Mitt Romney is ahead on the polls here in this forum, did you know if hes elected we in the usa will be at war with iran in a short time..
http://www.boston.com/news/local/articles/2007/01/24/romney_talks_tough_on_iran/ In his speech, Romney positioned himself as a foreign policy hawk and outlined a five-point plan on Iran: tighter sanctions, diplomatic isolation, coordination with Arab allies, threat of a military response if Iran goes nuclear, and a global campaign against "radical Islam." |

I think Israel will Take care of Iran! They have too! Maybe, the U.S. will help. Nuclear weapons were last used in warfare when we ( U.S. ) bombed Japan. I think there is a good chance that Israel will use tactical nuclear weapons against Iran. Iran's nuclear program is buried very deep underground, I seriously doubt conventional weapons would work. A lot of people will be angry when Israel acts.......but, a country the size of Israel cannot afford to be passive.....it's very existance is at stake. Israel has the greatest pilots in the world...many of them know it will be a one way trip to Iran!!......It's coming soon! Israel recently bombed Syria's secret nuclear site!......the mainstream media ignored it!

I just asked you a question. I'm glad you don't hate. In Israel most politicians have to be war mongers............because every single day they have to fight terrorist, and all the Arab nations that suround them.
Imagine suicide bombers blowing up buses on American streets.

After hearing the Obama speech tonight.....I'm enclined to say, that Hillary can't beat him on a "LeveL" playing field. Hell, the Republicans will have a hard time beating that guy. JFK's Daughter will have an article tomorrow in the New York times endorsing Obama........she comparing him to her father..........75% of the voters tonight voted against Hillary in S.C.......I think that's very telling!..........Obama better be ready for the "Dirt" now!!.....It's about to fly!!!

The good thing about this site is that people put personal political beliefs aside to engage is discussion and information about very serious problems our country will potentially face.
It is a testament to people working together toward the common goal of educating and preparing ourselves. And it works. This divide and conquer mentality in politicians is NOT WORKING. |
