         China is not Sweden

Public health officials and media pundits are making statements about the level of concern we should have about the Wuhan virus based on the numbers they are getting out of China. If China were Sweden, I would say that would be fine. But it's not.

Let's consider the differences, shall we?

Sweden is a liberal democracy. China is a totalitarian dictatorship.
Sweden's Prime Minister was elected by the people of Sweden. China's "President"  clawed his way to the top by having his opposed killed or imprisoned.
Sweden has a free press. China locks up anyone who disagrees with Dictator Xi.
Sweden has an outstanding public health system and releases accurate information on disease outbreaks. China loaded up SARS victims in ambulances and drove them around to hide how bad the SARS epidemic was.

Dictator Xi will admit to nothing unless it has already escaped into the public eye. Even though he now admits the situation is grave, China is still not providing complete information on the origins of Wuhan virus or critical details on its scope.

I am only sharing to this forum 2 blogs I follow. One is a Veterinarian up in Canada  and one is this fellow who was on a Pandemic flu board I was on that went extinct.
