Excellent article and right on target. I picked up on the "ignorance" aspect. It's one thing to look at the situation in far away Serrta Leone and an exioite disease like Ebola and say how dumb but what about influenza here in the US?   In my discussions with various public audiences I cannot recall any one fully understanding 1918 or what a full blown pandemic would be like. Most people equate pandemic to a very bad flu season. There will be leas sons learned the hard way.
