State Senator Slams Soros, Proposes Bill To Charge Protesters As "Economic Terrorists"

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2016-1...mic-terrorists

"Last week, Washington State Senator Doug Ericksen announced plans to propose a bill in January that would criminalize certain protests as “economic terrorism,” to be punishable as a Class C Felony.

The proposed bill would penalize protesters who engage in “unlawful disruption of transportation and commerce,” and if passed, those found in violation of the law could face punishment of up to five years’ imprisonment, a fine of up to $10,000, or both.

The proposed bill would also go after organizations and funders backing the protests by forcing them to pay restitution at a rate of three times the calculated amount of damage. In an interview with the Seattle Times, Ericksen specifically named philanthropists George Soros and Tom Steyer, as well as the Sierra Club organization, as intended targets of the legislation."

but it's all about protecting middle class jobs ya seeRoll Eyes (Sarcastic)

and let's not forget this little gift from Obama

"While these recent proposals have been construed as a backlash from Republican lawmakers emboldened by Trump’s presidency, one of the most contentious protest laws passed in recent memory was, in fact, a law signed by Obama in response to Occupy protests in 2011.

HR 347, also known as the Federal Restricted Buildings and Grounds Improvement Act, lowered the intent requirement of a 1971 trespass law, making it easier to criminalize someone who enters or remains in “any restricted building or grounds,” with “restricted” applying broadly to any event where the Secret Service is present. The law, which was widely seen as an attack on the First Amendment, essentially criminalized protesting in proximity to any elected official under the protection of the Secret Service, which includes President Obama himself — and now, President-elect Trump. Under the current law, violators could face a fine and up to 10 years of jail time."

I hate to sound alarmist
but 2+2 still equals 4
right ?

We have more freedom now than we would under your idealized socialistic or Communistic utopia under Hillary Clinton.

Freedom to discriminate, freedom to pollute, freedom to hate. Yep, we get that, Crabby.

Gee guys, just because Trump does not want illegal aliens coming into our country and wants to get rid of illegal alien gang members/criminals and wants to truly vet Muslims coming into our country is NOT hate or discrimination. Try to go to another country illegally in the world and see what happens to you.

Pollutions ok so it is ok to pollute Mexico or China to manufacture for the U.S. but not ok in the U.S. where we have the ability to have the companies clean up their act more to bring back jobs. No matter where you manufacture you will have pollution just moving it somewhere else is NOT a solution.

Use your heads folks!

if you look at the world with a Darwinian point of view
then exporting pollution to other countries is "ok"
we do it on a massive scale and have been doing it for quite some time
(where do you think our massive load of outdated electronics end up?
or read up on "ship breaking" in Pakistan-just a few examples)
we also don't fight wars so directly any more,we use proxies

the US gave up  a lot of manufacturing jobs
the jobs went to China and Mexico but so did the massive amounts of pollution
remember back in the 60's when the air in big cities wasn't fit to breathe?
and the rivers used to literally catch on fire?

I certainly remember that

If you can tell me where I should dump my E-Waste I'd be happy to do so. Most trash companies don't take old televisions and VCR's and most donation sites don't take them either. This is a problem that needs to be solved. I have never ever received a letter from my city or county telling me where to dispose of E-Waste or old paint.

I agree with you that many companies moved across the southern border just so they could pollute. However, I used to work for a very large company who used to dump dry cleaning chemicals in the field behind their building. Now there are houses there. I don't think the border has much to do with this.

I've also been behind trucks on the highway who look like they're dumping chemicals right on the road.

Until the elimination of hazard waste prices come down, companies will continue to dump illegally to save money.

Satori, two wrongs do not make it right. Sure I remember the bad old days but we should not ship this to Mexico or china. We need to find a way to keep the water and air clean...we are smart just need to do it.

Get rid of all the jobs in DC and put inspectors out in the field to make sure chemicals are not dumped one air polluted and lots of smart college educated kids to find a way to keep thing clean.
