   Silly little item, I know, but essential for getting liquids into sick people. Also great if you have to perform an emergency tracheotomy. DO NOT attempt this if you don't have the proper medical training!!!!!

	femvet , straws for a sick person , ..straws cause air to go into the stomach, may cause vomiting or a sense of fulness, and really sick people are too weak to suck up the liquids, better to use a shot glass give small sips at a time. roxy

	Hmmm, I added straws. I remember as a child, a straw made room temp seven-up fun. A straw might be just what urges a child to get some liquid into the system. Obviously I have only first-aid training, but just me two cents.
