Cutting Military spending... would be helpful.
Much of the middle class paying a LOT of taxes... can not avail themselves of Child Tax Credits...

The Obama administration and most Congressional Democrats want to extend the Bush tax cuts for individuals making less than $200,000 and couples making less than $250,000, but let them lapse for those earning more than those levels.
Republicans and some Democrats (including three senators) are pushing for an extension of all the cuts, and have argued that government revenue would be higher if that happens because lower taxes spur economic growth. 8 sneaky ways to raise taxes

Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Naimi (born 1935) is the Saudi Arabian Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources[1]. Al-Naimi joined Saudi Aramco as a young man and was educated in the United States at Lehigh University under the company's educational program. He later earned his Master's Degree in Geology at Stanford University. After joining Aramco in 1947 and began climbing up the managerial ladder, becoming the Supervisor for the Abqaiq Production Department in 1969. He was appointed to that position in 1975 by King Khalid, and he speaks 7 languages. The world's longest-serving incumbent foreign minister, Prince Saud is well regarded internationally among his peers. He has worked closely with Kings Khalid, Fahd and Abdullah, seemingly surviving the reputed in-fighting of the Al Saud.
Prince Saud is a son of the late Faisal bin Abdul Aziz, King of Saudi Arabia from 1964 to 1975.
