Penham - I'll have to look into those barrels and see if I can find comparable prices here in So Cal. Up till now I've not seen plastic 55 gallons drum for less than $50-60. What size are they? I have a place near to me that sells as new steel drums for about $10 each if you buy a few and I'm using them with heavy duty food grade liners (about $7 each if I remember rightly).
The list from Dollartree made me smile. I used to work next door to one and I've bought just about everything you mentioned on your list, item for item

The rain/water barrels I have are 55 gallon, heavy duty food grade plastic. I tried to upload a picture, but couldn't get it to work They are rust colored with a black screw on top and the spigot is metal, much like a house outdoor faucet. |

If you live near a Dollar Tree, I was in one yesterday and they have a new supply of medicine items (most made in the USA, I do check because I don't buy stuff like that made outside the US). Some of this stuff was a good bargain for $1 and comparable to the "real" stuff. I am in this store at least once a week because of my job and this stuff is new to me in my area as of this week:
Generic Benadryl capsules 24ct.
Cough syrup guafenisen (sp?)
Acitominphen liquid (childrens cherry flavored) generic Tylenol
Ace bandages 2 sizes
Athletes foot meds
Generic icy hot pacthes (these were made in China) I did not get these, but someone might be interested
Anitbiotic ointment
Hydrocortisone cream
Some items I haven't seen in a long time in my store and some are totally new, I have never seen the generic Benedryl or liquid Tylenol.
