Actually, to make it easier for those who find you, IF you happen to not make it, having a bag for them to use, as well as a note with your final wishes on it, might not be a bad idea. Think about others! :)

I live alone also. I have relatives and parents in town, but I am very independent. I have a day job, etc. I've attempted to talk to my parents about bird flu, but they think it's all hype. Worse, they trust that someone will somehow be there for them magically and they won't have to do anything. So I'm building a 2-3 month stash for myself and just not saying anything to them about it.

Lving alone has its plus and its minus. Prepping for just one person might prove to be less expensiive, but living with others as the social beings we are it is also beneficial. Someone to share resonsibilities, tasks, support, companionship etc.
