Get ready for a surge in cases.  China is indicating that cases are going to most likely rise, and for them, it's probably an understatement.

I would be surprised if we don't see a couple more deaths reported by tomorrow - since none of those hospitalized seem to be recovering.  Those hospitals are undoubtedly having a shortage on ventilators.

They just took my dad off one yesterday in ICU, as he's going to live of course, but that truly looked like a miserable experience, being tubed. Wasn't the first time I had seen it before, but when you're no longer sedated with that thing, doesn't look fun.

My dear Husband was on one after his triple by-pass. It is no fun but if you need it to live who cares!

Here is a newer model for $8,000. Not sure how reliable this site is though.

An important thing about ventilators also is choosing a good mask, their are countless mask, and if you need to be on a vent 24/7 you will likely need more than 1 mask to swap out, since they do need to be cleaned.

Also if it is for 24/7 you want one that is as comfortable as possible, you don't want a mask that is unbearable to wear for extended periods.

Danny is probably right.  Next time we'll add that to the poll.

I'm also with Flumom on this, which is why I said Saturday. If China can cover something up, or control the media in any way, they will do it.  Any country that will arrest internet users for posting so-called rumors will do anything to control the information coming out.

Having said that, China is back to reporting 3 - 5 cases a day once again, and reporting new cases and deaths are starting to backlog on them - again. Typical.  Anyway, the best time to release not-so-good news is late Friday, or over the weekend when the public is not paying attention.  Trust me, China will do what they did last weekend and release a lot of new cases over the weekend.  Once we go over 100 cases, Chinese citizens will panic.
