"The loss of electric power over a substantial period of time is "likely to be catastrophic, and many people may ultimately die for lack of the basic elements necessary to sustain life in dense urban and suburban communities," according to a 2008 U.S. government report that examined the effects of an EMP event.

	my satellite radio has had so much static I really couldnt use it and I noticed my GPS is off by about a quarter mile or so thank God the lights stayed on !!!

	We are having a lot of phone service problems around here for the past couple of days. Both cellphones and home phones. Getting a lot late and out of order texts with T-Mobile and AT&T, and then calling from Southern California back home to Northern California has heavy static for me.
