Before our ungrateful children moved our grandchild to Texas we spent most vacations backpacking and canoeing. We always took a lot of MREs. I found some are really good some ok, some are awful. What's your favorite and who are your suppliers?

My favorites are from a New Zealand company called Portion Pack Foods. The Hungerbuster range are tasty and can be eaten hot or cold (never tried cold though). See the attached link for full info.

My personal favourite is beef & vegetable stew - yum

Thanks Rickster- Had to Googgle Muesli. Sounds interesting. My favs always been the Beef Stroganoff. It was made by Brownells and sold mostly in outdoor/camping stores.
