I do believe these movements are related and indicate continuation of movement for some time. Since movement might go from west to east increase of activity in central US and later on to the eastern part of the American Craton can be expected.
Following Dutchsinse-logics the Marocco-quakes could cause movement in NW Europe as well. Of course the "old area's" could get activated as well; Japan-region (China-Russia), Chili, Indonesia, New Zealand. Maybe a "larger event" (M8+) more likely somewere ? A "bigger event"M5-M6-like in central US ? The warning for the Pacific NW still stands-Dutchsinse.

Lots of seismic activity;
From FB Dutchsinse: This graphic I've put together shows the last 7 days of earthquakes M2.5+ in the United States, and M4.0+ internationally. Major unrest has taken place this past week, and the threat of a larger earthquake is looming -- something larger than the current TWO M7.2's which struck the North Pacific the past few days. Clearly areas across the whole planet moved with noteworthy activity, including Gibraltar South Europe, and the West coast of the United States. So many different M4.0 - M5.0 earthquakes in the West Pacific, it becomes hard to see the map.. also several deep earthquakes striking in succession all around Fiji , Tonga, and even Indonesia. All this movement is a precursor to larger activity which should strike in the near term (next several days, up to 1 week). The area to be struck with the large earthquake should be a nearby adjacent "silent" area which has not yet moved. With all the activity around the region, there are only a few spots which stand out as still being "quiet" -- South Japan, West Indonesia, Himalayan Range (Nepal to Afghanistan), Mexico / Central America, Vancouver Island , Pacific Northwest United States, and the coast of Peru / Chile. 7 silent areas, plus at least two deep earthquake locations where movement should occur nearby. Overall, this means the next 7 days should pan out to be more active than one might normally expect -- have a plan, and be prepared just in case things strike out to sea, or in populated areas. |

White House rallies public, private efforts to prepare for devastating earthquakeshttp://www.mcclatchydc.com/news/politics-government/white-house/article57991778.html Congress could play a greater role if lawmakers choose. One bill introduced last year by Rep. Peter DeFazio, D-Ore., would require a federal plan for installing an earthquake early warning system for the Cascadia subduction zone. A separate bill by Sen. Maria Cantwell, D-Wash., would fortify warnings against tsunamis, the hugely destructive wave surges triggered by earthquakes. So far, neither bill has advanced." we can always count on Congress to FAIL Read more here: http://www.mcclatchydc.com/news/politics-government/white-house/article57991778.html#storylink=cpy " |

Dutchsinse keeps waring for the US pacific region http://dutchsinse.com/2082016-mount-saint-helens-struck-by-seismic-unrest-whole-west-coast-moves-from-ca-to-wa/
Dutchsinse is oneof many making earthquake forecast. http://www.oregonlive.com/opinion/index.ssf/2015/12/earthquake-prediction_technolo.html No thanks to the USGS, earthquakes are being forecast today. In Peru, a system still in development has accurately forecast 18 quakes. In five years of monitoring the Peruvian coast, this system hasn't missed a single strong quake. Even a scarcely palpable micro-quake as weak as 3.1 was detected days in advance. Quake forecasting isn't some shimmering mirage. Today, forecasts are a reality. No other media was present. Why? Because USGS authorities with absolutely no comprehension of solid-state physics continually parrot that earthquakes cannot be forecast. The media never questions USGS dogma. The Pentagon or Kremlin would kill for such deference. The reality is the USGS missed the seismo-em boat. Worse, for nearly 40 years, it has tried to sink it. A powerful clique of seismologists dominates the agency's hierarchy. This clique and its academic allies went far out of their way to destroy critical research in solid-state physics, solid-solution chemistry and radiophysics: research that made Heraud's forecasts possible. But let's face it, refusing to believe in catastrophism or continental drift doesn't kill. Earthquakes do. Nature's deadliest catastrophe slaughters hundreds of thousands in single quakes. Thousands may perish on our own coast with the "seconds of notice" that USGS early warning systems would provide. It's past time the Oregon Legislature sought better counsel. Taking immediate testimony from Heraud, Freund and QuakeFinder would be a good start. |

We just had another earth quake here in Oklahoma 5.1
http://www.koco.com/news/earthquake-rattles-central-oklahoma/37979562 FAIRVIEW, Okla. —An earthquake rocked the Oklahoma late Saturday morning. Initial reports show the earthquake was measured at a 5.1 magnitude and was centered 17 miles northwest of Fairview. A 3.9-magnitude aftershock was reported shortly after in Fairview. The Fairview Police Department said it is not reporting any damage. The KOCO 5 newsroom received several phone calls from people who felt the earthquake throughout the state. |

We had a 5.7 here in New Zealand yesterday. I was cooking lunch and it gave the house a really good shake. I could also hear it above the radio I was listening to. The floor was swaying for some time afterwards and it felt like we were at sea. Thankfully no one was injured in Christchurch, just a good amount of cliff falls and a bit of liquefaction.

Hope you are safe after the 6.2 quake KiwiMum ?
Dutchsinse:Over the past 2 weeks, we have now seen FOUR noteworthy earthquakes surrounding New Zealand. This should be something that stands out in light of what occurred in February 2011 (5 years ago). In 2011, we saw a series of large earthquakes occur in the region around New Zealand, culminating in a M6.2 which struck Christchurch on February 22, 2011. Just a few weeks later, on March 11th, 2011 – the Japan M9.0 mega-quake occurred, which killed tens of thousands of people. The US saw a 3.9 in California fitting in a trend http://dutchsinse.com/2152016-west-coast-california-volcano-struck-by-m3-8-earthquake-mammoth-mountain-long-valley-caldera/ Dutchsinse: Pressure builds in the region, coming from BELOW the plate, and pushes to the East / Southeast. This pressure builds and spreads out across the whole Western portion of the plate over a matter of days to weeks. As the pressure builds, it finds the weakest spots to release along its way up from below. The pressure hits the dormant volcanic chambers as it comes up while moving East. This causes the volcanic chambers to move along the Eastern border of California before we see a larger event strike off the West coast. |

Also the US saw unusual movement in Georgia
and New Jersey: Kinnelon, New Jersey is a very small town 33 miles northwest of New York City. It is not known for earthquakes, but FOUR have struck in 3 days! Since colonial times people in the New York - Philadelphia - Wilmington urban corridor have felt small earthquakes and suffered damage from infrequent larger ones. New York City was damaged in 1737 and 1884. Moderately damaging earthquakes strike somewhere in the urban corridor roughly twice a century, and smaller earthquakes are felt roughly every 2-3 years.
Earthquakes in the central and eastern U.S., although less frequent than in the western U.S., are typically felt over a much broader region. East of the Rockies, an earthquake can be felt over an area as much as ten times larger than a similar magnitude earthquake on the west coast. A magnitude 4.0 eastern U.S. earthquake typically can be felt at many places as far as 100 km (60 mi) from where it occurred, and it infrequently causes damage near its source. A magnitude 5.5 eastern U.S. earthquake usually can be felt as far as 500 km (300 mi) from where it occurred, and sometimes causes damage as far away as 40 km (25 mi). |

"Unprecedented" and "dangerous" levels of Carbon Monoxide are being released into the atmosphere from seismic faults. The levels are so bad, they're dangerous! People on the West coast may find they are having trouble breathing and feel strangely tired. Some folks may notice the surface of their skin taking on a bright red appearance; the signs of Carbon Monoxide poisoning. Scientists are working feverishly to try to determine the cause, but, they say a consensus is quickly developing: The earth itself is emitting this gas and it is being released into the atmosphere via seismic fault lines; cracks in the earth's surface where tectonic plates rub together. If levels continue to rise as they presently are, people could be overcome, pass out and die from this. As of 11:00 PM eastern US time on 27 February, 2016, there is no other place on the entire planet with Carbon Monoxide levels this bad or this widespread. It is completely unprecedented Readers can see the levels for themselves, LIVE, by clicking HERE This is a developing story . . . . check back More on the methane-release in east Siberia https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kx1Jxk6kjbQ A 2012 interview with Dr. Shakova. Of course Russia depends even more than most other countries on fossil fuel. The need to stop using them is not seen as welcome news by Putin/Gazprom (Shell, EXXON etc). Methane-release from Alaska me be starting up. Methane can be explosive, is a strong greenhouse gas. If we do not find a solution fast live on Earth ends. |

About the CO and SO2 release western US-an indication for a larger earthquake.
Carbon Monoxide Spikes to 40,000 Parts Per Billion over California on February 26 — What the Heck is Going On?On February 26, The Global Forecast System model recorded an intense and wide-ranging carbon monoxide (CO) spike over the US West Coast. A region stretching from British Columbia, through Washington and Oregon, and on over most of California experienced CO readings ranging from about 5,000 parts per billion over the mountains of Southwestern Canada to as high as 40,000 parts per billion over Southern California. Very high peak readings appear to have occurred from Northern California near Eureka and the southern edge of the Cascadia Subduction Zone and along a line south and eastward over much of Central California to an extreme peak zone just north and west of Los Angeles near Palmdale along the San Andreas Fault Line. For reference, these readings were between 50 and 265 times above typical background CO levels of about 150 parts per billion and up to twelve times higher than second highest peak readings over polluted regions of China during the same period. Human-based carbon monoxide sources are not generally known to produce spike readings so high and so wide-ranging. Nor are wildfires (of which there were no reports for this region). The primary suspect for this preliminary observation, therefore, is geological. As the spike occurs over large fault lines, volcanoes, and above other active geological features along the US and Canadian West, it appears that activity within these features may have produced a brief if intense burp of this gas. Sulfur dioxide (SO2) readings — another geological gas — were also elevated, with peak readings again appearing in Southwestern California. It’s worth noting that no major US or Canadian geological organization has yet made any report on this particularly large CO spike. However, a piece of scientific research in Nature Asia, by K. S. Jayaraman notes that major CO and SO2 spikes may be an indication that future earthquake activity is on the way. According to Nature this kind of intense CO spike occurred prior to a 7.6 magnitude earthquake that shook Gujara in 2001 killing 20,000 people:
This particular bit of research appears to have had no confirmation or further comment in the sciences at this time. So the predictive usefulness of large CO spikes prior to earthquakes remains quite uncertain. And, as noted above, no major geological information outlet has made any warning or comment on earthquake risk so far. Thus the current very large West Coast CO spike near major fault lines remains a bit of a mystery. http://robinwestenra.blogspot.nl/2016/02/an-explanation-of-carbon-monoxide.html |

Both in Alaska and Mexico volcanic eruptions taking place.
This could indicate build up of pressure (proberbly between Alaska-Mexico) or maybe it is release of pressure and decrease of risks. Dutchsinse is now less active in his forcasts. I think he was correct in some basic ideas. But pressure build-up can be released in one strong earthquake, a swarm of smaller earthquakes, volcanic activity or maybe even the transfer of pressure.

Dutchsinse correctly warned for "compensation movement" after the Japan earthquake. The Equador 7.8 quake-april 16-was part of that compensation. The pacific-US/Canada/Alaska may see some "bigger movement"as well.

Superstation 95 gives another strong warning-with reasons-for the western US/Canada.
https://www.superstation95.com/index.php/world/1176 They correctly make the point that along the "ring of fire" the western US/Canada has not been hit by a major earthquake. There has been a deep earthquake at Fiji, 4,9 depth 553 km. http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/us20005j6m#general. Maybe pressure will move towards Chili (or Alaska-both had M9+ quakes in the early 60's) ? There seems to be a lot of moving going on. During or just before the Ecuador-quake a strange lightning was seen. http://www.euronews.com/2016/04/17/ecuador-lightning-before-the-earthquake-goes-viral/.

Link between climate change and earthquakes here:
If you look at the geological record of the end of the last ice age, there’s something that crops up that’s more than a little bit disturbing. The approximate 10,000 year period in which 4 degrees Celsius of warming took place was also punctuated by a rash of intense volcanic activity, earthquakes and tsunamis. It was a time of extraordinary geophysical changes that not only saw the, sometimes catastrophic, melting of massive ice sheets and extreme rises in sea level — it also saw severe geological upheaval. In one region alone — Iceland — instances of volcanic eruption increased 30-50 fold during a period starting about 12,000 years ago. Overall, global spikes in volcanism began near the start of major melt events at around 18,000 years ago and continued on through the Iceland spike at the 12,000 year time-frame, finally tapering off around 7,000 years ago. In the 12,000 to 7,000 year before present period, global volcanic activity was between 2 and 6 times today’s frequency. http://robinwestenra.blogspot.nl/2016/04/the-ring-of-fire-awakens.html |

Both Ecuador and Japan strong (M5+) aftershocks. For Japan the patern of Kyushu diagonal breaking up (as described here https://www.superstation95.com/index.php/world/1169 still goes on. https://www.superstation95.com/index.php/world/1180 (USGS:since april 14 there have been 51 M4+ quakes in the Kyushu-diagonal !) Alaska and Chili also active-both had most strong quakes (M9+) over 50 years ago. In Japan Honda, Sony, Toyota etc. are effected by the quakes. Nuclear power plants in Japan (and the US) could worsen the situation in case of a serious quake.

Increase in seismic and volcanic activity. I wonder did the western US not get "the big one" because there are now many "outlets" for pressure in that area ? From fracking to old volcanic sites, several faultlines etc. A major earthquake in western or central US would effect the global situation.

Both Superstation https://www.superstation95.com/index.php/world/1249 (New Jersey CO2 release from fractures) as Dutchsinse https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8rV2sdZNQQ new forecast, busy in earthquake-watching.
There is an increase in seismic activity. Maybe the western US escaped from a major quake because the US, due to fracking, has many "pressure-outlets" so you get more likely swarms of smaller quakes. Since USGS is "missing data" the European alternative:http://www.emsc-csem.org/Earthquake/world/
From Dutchsinse on his YouTube channel (April 30): Several of the swarms measuring in the M4.0+ range, but the USGS has not reported the events on any of their feeds for some reason. Taiwan, South Japan, Ecuador just to name a few locations where swarms are occurring, but no earthquakes are being reported by the USGS. Europe showing the stress as well. Now needing to watch Europe for noteworthy movement this week in the M4.0+ range, across the region spanning from the English Channel to Poland and from Switzerland to Serbia (based on the new deep earthquake below Serbia). United States should see interior plate movement and coastal movement this week across California. Specifically the border of Nevada + California , as well as Southern California near Los Angeles. Keep watch for M5.0+ earthquakes to strike this week. Hope for swarms of lesser events, but plan for a single event in the M5.0+ range. If things get larger, it will be preceded by movement at the interior volcanoes spanning California, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington State. The North American craton across the United States needs to keep serious watch in the midwest for possible larger movement as well. Specifically the Texas, Colorado, Kansas, and Oklahoma fracking operations. M4.0+ are on the schedule for this week, no way around it in light of the cluster of Earthquakes already showing in the Northwest from Yellowstone to San Francisco ( a sign of pressure pushing from the NW to the SE.. the line of earthquakes denoting where the pressure is coming from and going to. The East coast of the USA also needs to be on watch for new earthquake activity to strike near Virginia, as well as new activity to strike further Northeast near the US / Canada border with New York and Quebec. M3.0+ could be possible. If we see larger movement on the West coast , it will cause larger movement in the midwest, which will then cause larger movement on the East coast. The current magnitudes forecast are based upon a M5.0 range earthquake striking California or the Coast of California / Oregon. ____ West Pacific, keep watch in South Indonesia , across the location where the multiple eruptions occurred (which has now gone silent). Taiwan should see noteworthy movement again, as well as central Japan. This week should be active around the whole Pacific. West and East should both be struck by noteworthy movement greater than what we've seen the past 2 weeks. |

One of the larger quakes hardly being reported is the M7+ quake near Sumatra/Indonesia. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQ6D_7a0VkQ. I did not find info about the large quake at the site of the Jakarta Post. But earthquakes at sea may not be major news in SE Asia. Also Dutchsinse reports that earthquakes are not reported (by USGS but also the European EMSC seem to miss "data"). It may be related to a new global network, bureaucracy, administration-errors. But if the warning-network is not ready to operate do not stop the "old warning network"! There is growing proof that climate change is giving an increase in earthqaukes. Melt of landice (for instance in Greenland the most north-east part of the American Craton) means pressure is beeing transferred (by increase in melt/sea-water, but also there is a decrease in glaciers-permafrost keeping mountains "glueed" together is breaking up). Superstation reported https://www.superstation95.com/index.php/world/1256 about the New Madrid Fault Zone (6x larger than San Andreas) and the 15 nuclear reactors in that area. Since Fukushima everybody needs to understand that a major earthquake can mean a major nuclear disaster. With Fukushima still spilling nuclear waste into the ocean, a lot of nuclear plants "with problems" (mostly state-secret) it should be clear that other major nuclear disasters (no quakes needed) are just waiting to happen.

Latest earthquakes are supposed to be on http://ds.iris.edu/seismon/. I have to get used on this kind of presentation-do not know yet wether I regard thisas an improvement. The USGS had a (world)map wich give a lot of info at the blink of the eye. With IRIS-map you can move the cursor to get some info.
But maybe I need to learn how to make good use of the features. (For the world-list EMSC may still be good as well)

In the last two days there have been 14 quakes in the Mid-Atlantic ridge, Reykjanes-Ridg, south of Iceland/Greenland. http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/map/#%7B%22feed%22%3A%227day_all%22%2C%22search%22%3Anull%2C%22listFormat%22%3A%22default%22%2C%22sort%22%3A%22newest%22%2C%22basemap%22%3A%22grayscale%22%2C%22autoUpdate%22%3Atrue%2C%22restrictListToMap%22%3Atrue%2C%22timeZone%22%3A%22utc%22%2C%22mapposition%22%3A%5B%5B37.85750715625203%2C-62.13867187499999%5D%2C%5B67.80924450600008%2C1.669921875%5D%5D%2C%22overlays%22%3A%7B%22plates%22%3Atrue%7D%2C%22viewModes%22%3A%7B%22map%22%3Atrue%2C%22list%22%3Atrue%2C%22settings%22%3Atrue%2C%22help%22%3Afalse%7D%7D
Strenght 4.5 to 5.1, depth most 10 km. Proberbly a lot more smaller quakes. Something volcanic in the Northern Mid Atlantic brewing ? see also http://en.vedur.is/about-imo/news/nr/3160 and http://www.emsc-csem.org/Earthquake/Map/zoom.php?key=36&typ=euro#4. Could this be related to increased landice melt 1000 km north Greenland ? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mid-Atlantic_Ridge

A strong m7.7 and deep 212.4 km earthquake south of Japan will bring more quakes and volcanic activity. |

http://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2016/09/30/earthquake-advisory-issued-for-southern-california-after-salton-sea-quake-swarm/
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A swarm of earthquakes that rattled the Salton Sea area earlier this week has increased the probability of a major quake hitting Southern California. The California Office of Emergency Services (OES) issued an earthquake advisory warning residents and officials in Ventura, San Diego, San Bernardino, Riverside, Orange, Los Angeles, Kern and Imperial counties that there was a greater possibility of a major earthquake through Oct. 4. More than 140 seismic events have been recorded near Bombay Beach beginning Monday ranging from magnitude 1.4 to 4.3, according to U.S. Geological Services (USGS) seismologists. A graphic illustrating a swarm of earthquakes in the Brawley seismic zone as of Monday evening. (courtesy USGS) “California is earthquake country. We must always be prepared and not let our guard down,” said OES Director Mark Ghilarducci. “The threat of an earthquake on the San Andreas Fault hasn’t gone away, so this is another important opportunity for us to revisit our emergency plans and learn what steps you need to take if a significant earthquake hits.” The swarm occurred in a region known as the Brawley seismic zone, which is located near a fault network that connects the southernmost end of the San Andreas fault with the Imperial fault. Dang, where do you store your preps when your house could be dangerous to go into? A storage area could be just as bad so what do you do to make sure you can get to your preps?

The way my apartment works is that while I have plenty of pantry space for preps inside the apartment, I also have covered parking and room for storage in front of my car. Each spot has its own extra storage unless you live in an apartment with an attached garage. You can fit a lot in there, I just haven't used mine yet.

There have been several deep earthquakes the last days-wich will translate into stronger shallow earthquakes.
etc. USGS and EMSC have searchfacilities. New Zealand (north island), Chili increased risks ? (For a M6+ ?)

There has been a http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/us10007ev8#executive M6.3 at depth 526 km between Timor and Sulawesi Indonesia. (Dec 5 1.13 UTC). Also clusters of up to 600 km deep quakes in Fiji, and south of Japan, Izu-islands.
This can be an inducation of an M8 earthquake the coming days most likely western Pacific, China-India. (I am not Dutchsinse http://dutchsinse.com/-he may be able to make a more precise prediction.)

December 9 update Dutchsinse https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yapP_AIdAGg
Increased seismic activity in old volcanic zones in western US (a.o. Mt St. Hellens, M3.3) due to the large earthquake for the California coast (M6,5 dec 8) will spread further east and hit Oklahoma (did get a 3,7 dec 10-Dutchsinse is warning for a possible M5,5-6 in that area.) The Solomon-islands keeps recieving large quakes up to M6.9 dec 9-that pressure will spread further in the Pacific-a.o. Japan (did see a M5 dec 10). Pressure from the earlier M7,8 dec 8 quake will move via India/Iran to the Middle East and then Europe (Dutchsinse Crete M5.5 to M6 expected). Also a warning for south-central America (El Salvador-Columbia). DJ: so far Dutchsinse is making quite good predictions again. The EMSC sometimes pick up quakes the USGS is not mentioning. Pressure should end up in the Mid-Atlantic ridge-silence can be a warning sign. I do not want to see a major quake (>M5) in the (northern) Mid Atlantic. That could effect western Europe and eastern US.

Josh, we've been advised here that there is a high probability of an earthquake larger than the 7.8 we've just had, coming in the next 30 days.

Those who got it wrong, for whatever reason, may feel defensive and retrench into a position that doesn’t accord with the facts.
