Since measurements started around 1900/1905 it is possible to compare 11 decades from 1905 to 2015. And see if there is a patern. (M6-M10 range)
Well you can see for yourself-there is an increase !After World War 2 there were nuclear testings that influenced the number of quakes. Certainly the first decades of the 20th century may be influenced by lack of measurements. Statistics always can give a false perspective. There are variables; you can look at 5 year intervals, magnitude variations, certainly there will be regional differences. But for me it looks like there is an increase in earthquakes.

1905-1915= 48 quakes (=>5.5)
1915-1925= 270 quakes (=>6) 1925-1935=529 quakes 1935-1945= 460 quakes 1945-1955= 877 quakes 1955-1965= 1353quakes 1965-1975= 1304 quakes 1975-1985= 1053 quakes 1985-1995= 1520 quakes

Maybe these numbers only tell something about measurements. Better detection results in higher numbers. (Eventhough M6 and higher should not be influenced by better detection ?) Statistics always should be part of a bigger picture.
The "melting" of perma-frost could create its own dynamics. I do not like the outcome of my statistics and will check again in another form.
