CHP notified of human case of avian influenza A(H7N9) in Yunnan

      The Centre for Health Protection (CHP) of the Department of Health is today (July 14) monitoring a notification from the National Health and Family Planning Commission that one additional human case of avian influenza A(H7N9) was recorded from July 7 to 13 in Yunnan, and strongly urged the public to maintain strict personal, food and environmental hygiene both locally and during travel.

      The 54-year-old male patient in Wenshan was known to have exposure to poultry markets and had onset on June 23
