So what is everyone going to work on this month? I'm working on restocking my pantry and freezer now that I cleared out all the older items. I am also working on replacing OTC meds a little at a time.

I'm tearing out shelves in the garage this weekend to better organize both my preps and non-preps. I'm going to start checking for expired items too, because I have dried foods that were put away ten years ago. Fortunately, a lot of my bulk preps are pretty cheap to replace - rice, beans, flour, etc.
I also need to make more space for water while I'm at it. That's a tough one because of both the weight and sheer quantity you'd need for a protracted SIP. |

I know the water is a pain. I currently only have one case of bottled water. We do have a 12,000 gallon pool of water though that could be used in an emergency.

Thanks, this looks useful! Always know where your closest source of water is, whether it is a ditch, creek, pond, lake etc. Any fresh surface water is easily cleaned & decontaminated by sedimentation in a plastic drum (with or without chemicals, I have ferric chloride solution and a few cationic polymers on hand in the house), and disinfected with household bleach. If you have to prepare for a long-term disruption of public water supplies, this is vital. The recent events in Puerto Rico amply show how drinking water supplies can be disrupted, causing great morbidity and mortality to the local populace. |
