Hey guys. As more conspiracy theories arise regarding this missing scientist.....I am interested on your take of what is going on. I just googled and read a bunch of stuff and some articles are saying that he said the shot was causing flu and there are twice as many that dispute it saying the vaccine has no live cultures so can't cause the flu. Just wanted a general discussion!

I surfed through a few of the articles about him. There are a lot of them out there so I tried to stick to fairly reputable sources. However this is just my opinion............
The CDC is not above leaks and whistleblowers, nor any other nefarious deeds - anymore than anyone else. I am absolutely sure it has a few actual skeletons in the cupboard too. But I do not suspect fowl play this time. This years flu strains are particularly contagious and the vaccine is less of a match than in previous years. This year the death toll is not much higher than the norm, but it is being noticed because there are so many ill. The vaccine-causing-the-flu is laughable and must have been coined by an ill educated person. The grasp of the science is less than tenuous. I will keep my opinions about those who believe that idiocy to myself, as I draw a line at being that offensive. In addition, the young doctor had just had some unpleasant news - namely, why he was passed over - and he tried to get hold of his parents to talk on the night of his dissapearance; not the behaviour of a victim/abudctee. He did say he was feeling unwell on the night in question. I do know that the CDC conducts research which some consider risky, so as regards probability I would put the liklehood of misadventure before an act of violence or the result of some conspiracy. Anything is possible. He could have been done-away-with or abducted by aliens, found the route to Shangri La or dissapeared into the Bermuda Triangle, but I don't rate any of those explanations as at all likely. This sounds awful, but the truth will not emerge until his body is found. |
