DJ-In Dutch https://www.gelderlander.nl/dossier-aanslag-verijdeld/alle-lijntjes-wijzen-weer-naar-arnhem-even-de-jihadstad-van-nederland~a2ab040d/ a part of the story via google translate:

One of them, Abdelkarim el Attrach, put a video on the internet. For the smoking ruins of a building destroyed by an air raid, he called for an attack in the Netherlands.

That attack seems to have almost come. Committed by an Arnhem group of men who in several ways is linked to the jihadist of the film. Anyway, all lines from yesterday lead to Arnhem.

The police reported yesterday that they had arrested three Arnhemmers. The pivot of the group would be the 34-year-old Hardi N., a born Iraqi who also appears in the 2014 files. He is then, along with another Arnhemmer, stopped on his way to Syria. He would help orphans there, he said. But the court thought he wanted Jabhat al-Nusra and sentenced him to 18 months in prison. On appeal it became 24 months, 23 of which conditionally.

This conviction is based in part on a police or secret service interviewed in a car in which two men talk about planning a trip to Syria. One of these men is Hardi N., the other name - Morat M. - also appeared yesterday in the investigation into the foiled attack. The same name on the mailbox of a house in Vlaardingen that was investigated by the police. Whether M. is stuck is not yet certain.

On another mailbox, of one of the houses that were searched in Rotterdam yesterday, is the name of Wail A., also an Arnhemmer and also condemned for an attempt to travel to Syria. And later arrested again at Volkel airbase. After his release, he was working at an employment agency, but was arrested when he made a selfie with an F16 and his name appeared to be in a terrorist file.

Wail A. wanted to go to Syria in 2015 together with Nadeem S. In the house of the latter, a raid was made yesterday. It is not clear whether he is stuck, but it is not unlikely. In the lawsuit against Wail A. and Nadeem S., the two denied that they wanted to go to Syria. They would only have wanted to pick up a friend who wanted to leave Syria. Who that was? Precisely, the Arnhem jihadist Abdelkarim el Attrach, who called for an attack in the Netherlands.

DJ-This anti-terror operation coincides with a military drill of 2200 Dutch and German special forces (20 helicopters, 4 jetfighters, 2 transportplanes and a drone ) just north of Arnhem. "Falcon Autumn" is during till mid october.

Dutch and German (and some other) special forces are involved.

The number of "soft-terrorist-targets" in the Netherlands is endless (and I will not bring anybody on ideas).

Looking at the past in Paris and Manchester there were attacks on stadiums. (An attack on a German stadium may have been folied last year ?)

Also public transport, airports have been under attack (in UK, Spain, France).

DJ-In the aftermath of the 2015 Paris-attacks there were searches in (a.o.) Molenbeke-Brussels (Belgium). With the 7 arrests now in the Netherlands the hope/story is "all of the potential terrorists" are arrested.

In a worse scenario there could be some terrorists left-now pressed to take action earlier. Christmas-markets in Germany did see some terrorist activity in the past-we are 12 miles from the German border....

DJ-There have been "jihadi-networks" in Arnhem in 2009, people went to loin IS in 2013. The present terrorist-cell existed since 2014.

In other cases there was an underlying network providing shelter, income, training and logistics. There is nothing in the local news on that so far.

http://hisz.rsoe.hu/alertmap/database/index.php?pageid=event_desc&edis_id=SPS-20180928-64817-NLD:
Dutch police said on Thursday evening they believe they have foiled a major terrorist attack in the Netherlands with the arrest of seven men in Arnhem and Weert. The men range in age from 21 to 34 and three of them, including the ringleader, have previous convictions for attempting to join IS in Syria, the public prosecution department said. The department began an investigation into the 34-year-old man they suspect to have led the cell in April, following a tip-off from the AIVD security service. The AIVD said the man, an Iraqi national, had been planning an attack at a major event in the Netherlands with the aim of creating as many victims as possible. 'The plan may have involved jackets packed with explosives and Kalashnikovs at an event and a car bomb elsewhere. The investigation into the exact target is still ongoing,' the public prosecution department said. 'The suspects were looking for AK47s, handguns, hand grenades, suicide jackets and the ingredients for a car bomb,' the department said. 'They had also been looking for training in the use of guns and the suicide jackets.' The investigation picked up quickly this month because the suspects' preparations were becoming more advanced, the department said. The public prosecution department says it is convinced that a terrorist attack has been averted due to the arrests. The threat level in the Netherlands remains 'substantial', one below the maximum risk level. The seven men, who are being held in isolation and only have contact with their lawyer, will appear in court on Friday for a remand hearing.
