       Girl, 8, ill with Dengue fever

The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed the 58th imported case of Dengue fever this year. 

An eight-year-old Canadian girl who travelled to Indonesia last month came down with fever, chills and headache on December 5. 

She was admitted to a private hospital on the 10th, and then transferred to Princess Margaret Hospital the next day. She is in stable condition.

This is the 58th imported case of Dengue fever reported so far this year. There were 31 cases in 2006.

	Indonesian woman ill with Dengue fever Dec 7 The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed an imported Dengue fever case involving a 26-year-old Indonesian woman who arrived in Hong Kong November 29, bringing the year's total to 57, all imported. She developed fever and headache on November 30 and was admitted to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital two days later. She is now stable.
