I'm known to occasionally call my husband "Husband" instead of his name, and then he'll call me "Wife". We do this because we have been married for 16 years, we love each other and we are proud of being happily married. It raises eyebrows when people overhear us but our friends sometimes do the same and we all know it's a term of endearment rather than a put down.

I would be offended if my husband introduced me as his friend or his partner. I am his wife and very happy to be so, especially in an age where so many marriages fail. I also am proud to introduce him as my husband.

Crying out loud, you need to lighten up, get over yourself and stop seeing the world around you as being so terrible. Life is pretty great, most people are honest and worth knowing, and not everyone and everything is out to get you.
Those who got it wrong, for whatever reason, may feel defensive and retrench into a position that doesn’t accord with the facts.

Females and their children are terrified in this world. They are not protected. Now they are encouraged to fight and battle right along with the males.
This entire planet must be depopulated. It cannot sustain and maintain positive life. No one should have to prepare to cut or kill another individual. Not with physical weapons... or with paper weapons used in made up courts. This is not beautiful...this is horrifying!

COL - you fail to realize something. With the exception of Albert, we're all guests here, and as such we're expected to adhere to certain standards. Your reply to DANNYKELLEY was unwarranted and completely off topic. When you manage to focus, you post insightful articles. This was not one of them, and for the time being it has been hidden. Please try to contribute constructively.
