A little over a month ago we were assailed by posters squealing that Zer0care was the greatest thing since sliced bread and anyone that disagreed was a racist, classist, and all around bad person. Now they've all gone silent.
Some of these brain trusts said, out loud, that Zer0care was going to increase access to health insurance. Some of them said it was going to increase choices. How's all that healthcare access working out? Doesn't seem all that well to me... In fact in most places, like Southern Minnesota, there is now only *ONE* choice, and in most states the grand total of people able to sign up for Zer0care is under 1% of 1%, while what's looking like a quarter of Americans are going to lose their health insurance. Seems to me that Zer0 and his cadre of idiots spent $600,000,000 dollars of our money on his wife's college friend from Canada to make already disasterous legislation worse. Funny thing about that, I could literally walk into any Coffeeshop in San Francisco and grab four random guys and for a paltry sum of under a million dollars they could make a far more useful website that might actually work and it'd take them a matter of weeks to months, not two and a half years to make a website that's so riddled with problems, it is literally the punchline of every joke. Seems to me that we are going to charge the vast majority of Americans two to three times more for health insurance, with twice the deductable, and a tenth the access. Even the Liberal Golden Boy John Stewart can't help but make fun these days. |

Another Obamacare Surprise: Major Hospitals All Across The Country Not Included Under New Insurance Plans...
"If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor..." ~ Barack Hussein Obama, June 29, 2009. SNIP As if the millions of Americans set to lose their existing health insurance coverage as a result of Obamacare was not bad enough, a recent survey by Watchdog.org has found that many top hospitals across the nation will no longer be accessible to the average person with a new "eligible" plan. In fact, many major hospitals are being excluded from Obamacare coverage altogether, which means that millions of previously covered individuals will have to settle for subpar care at other "in-network" facilities. Based on the results of the survey, most of the nation's top hospitals, including renowned facilities like Case Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio, will only be accepting insurance from one or two companies included as part of Obamacare. This means that all the other insurance plans offered on the Obamacare exchanges will be ineligible, and many patients will be required to go to other facilities, even if their previous insurance plans were accepted by these same hospitals. "Americans who sign up for Obamacare will be getting a big surprise if they expect to access premium health care that may have been previously covered under their personal policies," explains U.S. News & World Report about the report's findings. "Most of the top hospitals will accept insurance from just one or two companies operating under Obamacare." Included in the survey were 18 revered medical centers across the country, as ranked by U.S. News for 2013-2014. Investigators contacted each of these hospitals to inquire about their contracts with insurance companies, how plans would be handled under Obamacare and who would be covered. They found that almost every hospital would not be accepting the vast majority of insurance plans offered under Obamacare, because the carriers are considered "out of network."... guess what hospitals will start accepting those plans and Medicare too they HAVE to in order to stay in business private hospitals can cherry pick but public non-profits absolutely depend upon government to survive Medicare,Medicaid,Tricare etc and in the coming years government will be assuming much more of the nations health care costs they already are at about 50% or so |

The largest hospital in WV is not hiring and they started running out of beds this past summer because they have closed so many beds.More smaller hospitals in WV will closing this year. What are we going to do during flu season. There will be people dieing in the waiting rooms and the parking lots.I have not posted on this board in 5 years, but I am afraid that we are one to three months from seeing all of Obamacare and what it is meant to do. Yeah, we've got that going on in Chicago and the suburbs! Next will be the return of flash-mob robberies of high-end shoppers on Chicago's Magnificent Mile (Michigan Avenue). Sooner or later, a few kids are going to get shot, and that will trigger a conflagration. Who needs a pandemic?
