There is so much information in this one article I do not know where to start to categorise it.

http://mbio.asm.org/content/5/1/e01102-13

The salient points seem to be:

1, There are important parellels between H7N9 and H3N2

2, There are several possible antivirals which might mitigate effects

3, The virus apears to depress the imune response - no cytokine storm risk, but the virus is profoundly hard to fight.

4, Hubby tells me that the changes in the transcription response/event is very significant but I confess that my biological knowledge doesn't stretch far enough to judge this.
