After 9/11 the US/NATO was involved in wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Mali, there were drone-attacks in Yemen, Pakistan. The outcome of this "war on terror" is that the world now is less safe than in 2001. The "drugs-war" in Mexico is a civil war (in another form). NATO moves east bringing conflicts in eastern Europe. "The west" is questioning China's claim on the South China Sea. The world is seeing the largest refugee crisis since world war 2.

Freedoms are under severe pressure. Telecommunications are under state supervision. I am willing to accept that if that would bring a better world for all people. But income-inequality has exploded since 2001. The banking-crisis has lead to a very large transfer from public-taxpayer-and newly created money to private banks.

Just like al quaeda was organized to fight the Soviet Union in Afghanistan 1979-1989 IS was the result of western interference in Iraq, Libya, Syria. Saddam Hussein, Bashir Assad, Muamar Kadaffi, are cruel dictators but at least managed to unite their country and make education and healthcare available to large groups. Christians, women, minorities, had some rights. Replacing those dictators by chaos has brought us these terror attacks in Paris.

The new "war on terror" should involve something better than more bombs and death, destruction, refugees. Education, basic human rights, more income equality is what is needed.

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

Stade-de-France was targetted friday nov 13, 80.000 people inside, match France-Germany. Among the public the French President Hollande. The terrorists did not get thru the controls.

Hannover Arena (Germany)was targetted tuesday nov 17, 75.000 people were expexted but not yet inside (gates were only open 15 minutes) Merkel, and some other government officials (Dutch and German)were expected to visit the Netherlands-Germany soccer match. Proberbly at the last moment that (IS) attack-plan was cancelled because of high security, discovery of a (fake) bomb in a train in Hannover.

The goal of IS-cells is to strike and kill large groups of people somewere in (Western) Europe and to include some government/heads of state in that attack.

Shooting in the streets seems to be a "distraction". I expect this kind of attacks also might aim at a "sportsfan" like Putin in Moscow.

This story seems to be far from over. The terrorists involved in Paris most had a French or Belgian nationality. (There are stories that at least one had a western European background-not north African).

In my opinion that does not mean that there are no terrorists coming with over the 1 million refugees to Europe from the Middle East. Even if only 1 in a 1000 has a terrorist background that would give the EU an influxof a 1000 people with terrorist background this year. In Calais-close to the tunnel connecting France with the UK-refugees claim they are being harressed by (former) IS members.

Also Turkey is sending those refugees to the EU and has been supporting IS. Also in Libya, were also refugees go by boat to the EU, terrorist groups are active.

The official story on Hannover is that no bomb-truck was found. The official story on terrorists coming with refugees is that security-checks will select them out. I do not believe those stories.

If there would be no more large attacks most likely the cause will be that (for some reason-security, failing communications, others) the terrorists do not act.
