Welcome cockoo2255...as I have learned from reading around each individual has there own plans and ways of preparing.. I personaly am trying to get about 8 months worth stocked..I am getting there it is a slow process... When I am staying in..I am not to sure but I keep myself updated and informed each day ..as I am in Canada I may have a bit more time(or less depending)... If there is anything specific that you neeed information on you can use the search feature at the top right hand corner..just click on it then type in the key phrase of what you are looking for.. or you can pm a moderator and we will see how we can help you look for a few of those answers Muskrat |

I think most are doing enough for a 3 month supply...i am trying for 18 months. I don't think anyone really knows but the official sources are looking to have time to stock up after the first "wave", if there are waves. What will the disase look like after 3 months is the real question. Will it be safe to go out in crowds again, will the schools be safe? No one really knows so we each have to do what we feel is our margine of safety. It has taken me many months to prep and it is not easy to try to have all you think the family will need. It takes about 2,000 calories a day to keep healthy and some will need more than that. There may well be shortages of meds or delivery proplems so prepare for that also. Lots of good threads here to read and make your decisions.
Welcome and good luck. |
