Even MSM can no longer deny brutal reality...NL-NOS news had a -good- item on how refugees were deported from Tunesia to Libya in a desert at 50C/120F...a lot of them die...For that matter it is a change...so far the EU did drown refugees in the Mediterranean. Maybe also here the EU follows the US killing refugees in the desert ?

The last two weeks most of NW Europe had lots of rain, wind, 20C/70F...Global temperatures are record high, oceans are up to 5C above normal..."faster than expected"...Antarctic Sea Ice at record low...in an Antarctic winter ! 

Of course "politicians" never waste any crisis to make money....they create crises...The CoViD pandemic WAS AVOIDABLE !!!! If we had decent border health checks and a stop on (most) international travel in time...If we had decent ventilation in public buildings...If we had good communication...

"The pandemic is over"...so steal more money-"politics"...well the pandemic may at best taking a pause...

DJ, The "Ukraine offensive" june-july may have seen over 40,000 Ukraine/NATO fighters killed...the "battle for Bahkmut" may have seen more Ukraine deaths than the US military killed in Vietnam...Ukraine killed most likely will be in the hundreds of thousends...(by now also Poland may have seen thousends of "volunteers" killed...Polish is the most picked up language by Russia in communication on the frontlines...)... Russian killed -my estimate- may also be over the US deaths in Vietnam...60,000+ 

So what do "western politicans" want to do next ? A Polish-Ukraine union so more war there ? Increase war in Syria, Iraq ? Start another war in Africa ? Bomb Iran ? Bomb China ? 

Soon most western citizens may say enough is enough !

The rate of inflation fell to 4.6% in July, national statistics agency CBS said on Monday in a preliminary estimate. In June the rate was 5.7%.

Food inflation remains high at 11.6% the CBS said, although it is down 1 percentage point on June. But energy prices have plunged 16.3%, based on a new calculation method which takes actual prices for domestic electricity and gas into account, rather than new contracts.

The CBS will publish an update based on more complete figures on August 8

Calculated according to the harmonized EU system, inflation was 5.3% in July and 6.4% in June. The difference is largely down to the inclusion of housing rental prices in the Dutch system.

Here in NL there were plans to build 900,000 new houses before 2040...but for now building collapsed due to high prices...Young people may have to stay with their parent(s) till they are 35-40...If CoViD or any other serious disease shows up public healthcare has been destroyed....

DJ-my view; neo-liberalism did already to much damage in the 19th century...It is beyond crazy it could return after 1990 end of Soviet Union...You need a balance between public and private sector...it is NOT magic ! Most of western Europe had such a "Rhineland-model" economy 50 years ago...

The Internet has brought is "outsourcing of censureship"...governments "sell info" as if it was just another product...You can NOT have a real democracy if EVERYTHING !!!! goes to the highest bidder ! 

In a democracy you have MORE !!!! than a right to vote...You have a right to inform yourself...You also have a basic RIGHT for education, housing, medical care...Those "goods" are NOT only for the rich !

Time for CHANGE NOW ! We need a real democracy not a fake one !
