There is a 40% discount group buy here: http://warrifles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23284 .
The following are two excerpts from a related discussion here: http://warrifles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23098 .
Part 1:
Ultima is more suitable for oral rehydration than Pedialyte. Here's why: Pedialyte, based on an 8oz. serving, contains 3 electrolytes and minerals, Ultima, based also on an 8oz. serving, contatins 13. Pedialyte contains 5.9 grams of simple sugar, while Ultima contains zero sugar, and 3 grams of complex carbs (maltodextrin, from corn, like PowerBar). Calories are 24 grams for Pedialyte, 25 grams for Ultima. Ultima contains 37.5 mg of sodium, Pedialyte 10.5. Ultima contains 75 mg of potassium, Pedialyte 4.5. Ultima contains 12 mg of magnesium, Pedialyte 0. Ultima contains 34.5 mg of calcium, Pedialyte 0. Ultima uses no artificial colors, flavors or sweeteners. Pedialyte uses artificial colors, artificial flavors and artificial sweeteners. Our biggest customer is Whole Foods Market. They don't sell Pedialyte because of the above. Part 2: The maximum storage life is 3 years from manufacture sealed (we date for 2 years as a "sell by" date). The maximum storage life once unsealed is 3 months in a dry cool environment. In humid or warm climates, Ultima will not hold up as well and we recommend the individual packets, which are available by the box. -KF Later:
I will match any purchases destined for our military in the desert with another box or can and other goodies. So, 2ifbyC, if you purchase one for the sandbox, Utima will donate another and take care of the shipping.
-KF Yes, you must register to order there but without any required membership dues/fees and it's pain free! Plus the folk there are terrific (except for me ).
I am not associated in any way with the manufacturer other than being very pleased with their products, attitude and generosity.
