read in a book- lucifer's hammer  i think, guy couldn't find much in can goods, opted for meat.  he cut it paper thin, marinated in worstishire sp?, then dried it in oven on lowest setting. is this feasible ? if power fails i would hate to loose my freezer.  do not have any equipment except a gas stove. can someone help me with this ?  thanks
