Without any treatment at all, even the most mild strain of H5N1 will be lethal. I'm not sure that it's even really possible to ride it out if you get it, meaning to go without taking any antivirals.. God knows what the untreated mortality rate could be. If the current patients in Turkey did not receive double doses of Tamiflu early on, would any of them even be alive? Or would they all be like the initial cluster in Turkey in which 3 of 4 died? Actually, one of the four was never confirmed to even having BF, which means it could have killed at a rate of 100%. Again, without Tamiflu, I'm not sure that it's survivable. The current situation surrounding the "untreated clusters" proves that this can kill up to 100% of the people that it infects. Got Tamiflu?
