Italy 571 cases / 17 dead / 95 in critical.

Right? More and more my gut is telling me that if it actually had a CFR of 2%, and most of the deaths among the elderly, that China would not have taken the measures it has/is taking. That, plus all the measures other countries are taking that they did not take for SARS, H1N1 and Ebola. Hope I'm wrong. |

Well my feeling is that it's not what they are saying it's what they are doing. Never have I seen so many borders closed. China quarantines 750 million to the detriment of their economy over something that everyone keeps saying isn't as deadly as the flu. Their words and actions do not match, they are way too disproportionate. |

I said to a friend this am - wonder what the 'higher ups' know that we don't re: this CFR etc... no way the truth is being told by our 'leaders'...(and I use that term very loosely with great sarcasm)! |

With China spraying aerosolized bleach and dumping it in the sewers ,we are dealing with something more virulent. You see spraying in Italy but not on that scale yet.

I would like scientists to compare the DNA of the virus in China, with Italy and with Iran. Italy and Iran seem much more lethal. Saying that, I don't believe the figures from China. Satellite images show huge SO4 levels in Wuhan caused by cremations. I think they're burning bodies 24/7.

Remember, many cases (majority) are mild and even asymptomatic, so to calculate a factual Case Fatality Rate, you need an accurate denominator (fatalities/total cases). The true CFR is much less than 2%. The 2% is only what we are seeing at the surface. That is why I am screaming so much about people panicking. There is no need to panic, this is not the Black Death Part 2. Of the 44,672 coronavirus cases that were confirmed in China by Feb. 11, more than 36,000 — or 81 percent — were mild, according to a study published recently by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Cases were considered mild if they did not involve pneumonia, defined as infection of the lungs, or involved only mild pneumonia, the authors wrote in the study, which is among the largest to date of the new coronavirus. |

BeachMama, I grock that. China's leaders are liars! Not the people, but the government. They are saying: "under control" but their actions are saying "Panic, Panic, Panic...... 'And we know that the Chinese regime is good at lying. I do not believe what they say. I believe what they do.
