Yes Dutch_Josh I agree dams do have a tremendous ecological impact that is often underappreciated.   My comment was simply there is no lack of funds just a lack of priorities.   Maybe the government should pay for the important stuff first.   Then raise taxes if everybody agrees to fund less important stuff.  

I am sick an tired of hearing the need for tax raises for roads, schools, fire, police and now damns.     There is PLENTY of money to fund those things.    We like to give all are money away our money for stupid programs and neglect the thing Government is supposed to.

A perfect example.... when Regan was Governor the state spent over 10% on in infrastructure, now we spend maybe a percent or two.
