I bought some here: http://www.seedsavers.org/ They seem more expensive than the Ark Institute, but you get to choose which specific varieties based on your preferences, growing season length, etc. They arrived quite promptly, no complaints on my end. At this point, everything has started sprouting, but it's been a wet and relatively cool spring here and the garden is definitely behind schedule.
Quite a few other seed sources pop up if you Google "heirloom seeds"

http://www.heirloomseeds.com is my favorite. they even have a
whole garden of seeds packaged for long term storage. and if you want a
few ideas on how to live better with less in an urban setting, this is
an amazing website...
