NORTH AMERICAN FLYWAYS

It masnt moved that fast, its actually taken quite a long time to get this far. The news and testing lags behind the reality, to be quite honest it may have spread far further than even the current news suggests.

The whole Italy thing is not as risky as it looks. Or rather, every day travel that is not as high profile as the olympics is an ongoing risk.

For example there will eb many people who have been travelling to the USA from parts of Asia that have H5N1 for a long time now. I work for a small company and a few staff have been to China several times, even come back with flu like symptoms, it hasnt meant anything.

I am not being complacent, just saying that its more a case of people catching up and realising the risks that have been there for ages, as opposed to the risk suddenly having increased by a huge amount in the last few weeks.

Indeed the reason that none of the news here has worried me is because it was predictable, I was ready for reports of greater spread to Europe some moths ago, we were lucky we got Christmas over with without the evidnce for such spread marterialising, but maybe the spread already happened last year.
