“”In west Africa, cases and deaths continue to surge,” she said. “Riots are breaking out. Isolation centres are overwhelmed. Health workers on the frontline are becoming infected and are dying in shocking numbers.

“Others have fled in fear, leaving people without care for even the most common illnesses. Entire health systems have crumbled.”

“The UN has also warned of serious food shortages as a result of restrictions on movement in the Ebola-hit countries. “Access to food has become a pressing concern for many people in the three affected countries and their neighbours,” said Bukar Tijani, the UN Food and Agricultural Organisation regional representative for Africa.

“With the main harvest now at risk and trade and movements of goods severely restricted, food insecurity is poised to intensify in the weeks and months to come.”

Reading that reminds me of one of those "outbreak" movies in which the virus spreads and kills everyone in it's path and those who are left loot & riot... creepy.  When are our governments going to do something about this and get truly busy working on the vaccine/serum 24/7... getting something churned out to stomp this thing out?  Do they not want to? Is this all an effort to help depopulate the overpopulated earth?  What gives?
Be the positive change that you want to see. Live it, be it, push for it.

A good question to ask, and one that everyone may have to decide upon is : Would I take the ebola vaccination ?

Yep...I would, but then I am an immunologist that believes in vaccination. The more adjuvented the better. Wonder what herd immunity would be for Ebola, probably really high if most people on the planet are not immune and possible spreader. Think a lot of uptake is needed to control infection. Think aim is to priorities health care workers first.
Rather than stemming outbreak.

All health official are dropping the ball with getting a vaccine going.  It could be because it's still muting so often that it's not possible.  If a vaccine is not possible because of this, then we could be dealing with a (global) killing machine of sorts and no way to stop it.    If it gets into Asia, it's probably game over.   I'm with Elver on this - all flights need to stop very soon coming out of all of Africa.  I'm fairly certain Africa is under-reporting cases.

Not just flights! NATO needs to post ships in the Med and North of the Canary's and any boat that won't turn back needs to be sunk.

I would NEVER take the vaccine or trust the govt to come up with one that would not cause more harm than good.
