In a video released this morning, President Obama addresses the people of West Africa about the Ebola outbreak that is currently affecting the countries of Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Nigeria.

The President reiterates in the video that, along with our partners around the world, the United States is working with these countries' governments to help stop the disease. The first step in this fight, however, is knowing the facts -- which is why the President also outlines the details about the transmission and treatment of Ebola.

"Stopping this disease won't be easy," he says, "but we know how to do it." The President also notes that our countries can work together to improve public health to prevent similar outbreaks from happening in the future.

comment: Mr. President, it is good to see some positive thoughts and a desire to help West Africa during this epidemic.

"Stopping this disease won't be easy." "Our prayers are with those who have lost love ones.."

comment: No, it won't. Yet, by working with other nations and putting the force of America and it's abilities and resources, I am sure it can and will be done - at least as much as is possible.  And as for prayers... yes they are.

"...but we know how to do it."

For me to build a Fortune 500 company won't be easy. But I know how to do it...

We know you can send a rocket to the moon and have it come back and land on the back of a horse from Pickwick Stables of Burbank Ca but,

My question is what is being done to stop the Ebola phenomena? Your own CDC chief said the window is rapidly closing. What IS being done. Buying time is not slowing down the march to the harming of my family.

The first step in this fight is knowing the facts about the transmission and treatment? Is that what's being done? You should of became a member of Avianflutalk.com and Ebolainfo.org a long time ago because those issues are rather old news to us here. You're only at the first step in this??? How many rounds of golf have you played and vacations have you taken since February???
"And then there were none."

Excellent post Medclinician.

I'm with you on this oneflu.  Assuming if they knew how to stop it they may want to do it soon.
