The price of gas continues to drop. We are paying $1.74 a gallon here in SW Oklahoma, it's probably .10-.15 cheaper in OKC. I know it's not good for the economy, people in the oil and gas industry being laid off and all, but I am loving the low prices. I do a lot of driving and I drive a Ford Explorer and my college aged daughter drives a Ford F-150, so loving these prices.

I paid 1.84 the other day & that's generally what it's running here $1.82 in some spots... but at Kroger (Grocery Store) if you use a Kroger rewards card it's $1.72, but that's the only place in that range, everything else is 1.82 & up... with the exception of maybe Sam's Club but that's only for members.

I know! But at least I don't feel so swindled now. $2.49 here in St Gouge. I just read an article that it may drop to $20.00 a barel. If it does, or even $30.00, buy oil stock!!! Just as FluMom said, it will shoot way up quick. There is going to be some kind of a Mid East war soon. $200.00 a barel is right around the corner.

The day before yesterday I paid $1.64 a gallon, I couldn't resist topping off my tank at that price. I could only squeeze $12 in there, lol.

Prices are bouncing up and down but staying pretty reasonable for SoCal. I'm about to get my old big block F350 dually back on the road and I really don't need to see prices going up just yet or I won't be able to afford to drive to the gas station, let alone fill it up. On the plus side, we'll be able to put Albert's Hummer in the back when we all head for the hills... LOL

US refiners are flush with supplies of high-quality fracking oil, we might see a relief from high gas prices for a while.

We've become a world leader in oil production, what a change from the sorry 1970s!
