Bob Stands for Bail out Bag.. Its your basic emergency kit for just about anything. I have noticed most of the posts in this section are for extended stays in the home.

A bail out bag is for when you and your family have to get the hell out of town and you can not depend on what you have stocked up over the years. (considering all the posibilities IE total civil breakdown) in the event of a major pandemic i would think people here would be interested in being prepared for anything. Not just a stay at home emergency.

Ok My list is for one person But you can multiply this list per family member IE a BOB for each member of the family..

Backpack (I recomend a good Alice pack) http://www.nexternal.com/armynavy/images/medium-alice-pack1.jpg
Make sure it has the Frame , 1 per person of the family

Items
Heavy Rain jacket /suit
Extra Shirt , pants , Socks etc. I pair each No more (AT LEAST 1 heavy jacket)
Emergency Food (big list of things that could be put here)
Water (Camel back works well)
Water purifier (Remember always boil water)
Assortment  tools IE pliers , Knife,
Small Medical kit (One for each person)
Ammo (Each person age 10+ should be armed) (My opinion)
Hand sanitizer
1+ months worth of any medications you need (optimally 2 months worth) If your diabetic though in the long run your screwed if basic services are not restored within a month or so.. Sorry

The list goes on and on depending on certain things, But overall these are the basics.

I carry a .22 Simiauto Rifle , It can bring down just about anything and you can also carry a lot of ammo for it. (low weight )

I keep a bag like this in my house and also in my truck at all times

Be prepaired for anything and everything
