Well, I don't care for either one, lol. But, no it's not a joke. Most of the people I know are voting for Trump because they are sick of the same old crap in Washington, which with Hillary in office, you can be assured of. I think I will be voting for Gary Johnson.

I'm a lifelong Republican, first voting for Gerald Ford in 1976.   I support the down-ticket Republicans, but they made their bed by accepting Trump as a candidate, so whatever happens will happen.

Good news about Hillary is she is 70, so she will be a one-term President, and Congress will be able to control many of her ambitions if the Republicans can hang on.

If not, look for assault weapons bans, ammunition bans etc.  I could see a Hillary-packed Supreme Court trying to damage the Second Amendment, but she seems to be safer than Trump, who is just nuts.

I was listening to a BBC political satire show on the radio and one of the panellists said that no matter what Trump does, Americans would still prefer to vote for a sexist, stupid, racist man than vote for a woman.

I always wanted to be able to vote in America's elections - after all they affect the rest of the world and that includes me.

But for once I am glad I can't.

(I would have voted for Hilary - Beelzebub would get my vote over Trump. - and I would never have forgiven myself)

My sympathies America.

Hey, at least Trump would not RAPE your daughter like Bill Clinton would. Monica was only 20 yrs old!

Look Trump is not a politician never figured he would be so he ran off at the mouth...like many men!

I do NOT want Washington to stay the same so I am voting TRUMP!

It is better to light one candle than to curse the darkness - J.F.K.

In America we have a basically flawed election process which only allows the incompitent and leaders who can be manipulated from behind the scenes into office. If Hillary is elected, we will see no change and 4 more years of Obamaness which will probably nearly destroy America. It is all words as Trump said, although I distance myself from him and his inability to avoid setting his own traps.

Hillary is clearly untruthful and I recently put up a video showing her lying for quite a few minutes. As Trump said (and I am not a Trump supporter) it is all words. The difference in many cases is that Trump does not have the real political disasters of working with people who caused the rise of lsis, made Iran into a super power by ending the sanctions, or paid ransom money to Iran which was used to finance terrorists. There are real acts as well as the willful destruction of emails which was a criminal act and anyone else would be in jail.

Whatever happens, many people, and some not so silent, are tired of the lies, deception, and a growing trend to defy law and order, attack those in other states, and promote which are really highly racial agendas as bad as any discrimination of the past.

Americans are not ignorant. They are thinking and they are deciding. No candidate will be thrust down their throat by the media, special interest or paid for commercials. In the end - if someone compitent is not put in the White House there will be anarchy. People will riot.

It is wrong.  But it well could happen.

Why do all the Hillary people ignore the fact that Bill Clinton and Hillary covered up his rapes of young women!

It is strange that liberals can ignore that fact but because Trump did some locker room talk he should be lynched.

Can't you people see this is all in Hillary's plan get people all upset about NOTHING so she can win and make America a Socialist Country to finish what Obama started!

Flumom, what do you mean "his rapes of young women"? Monica Lewinsky was 20. That makes her a fully grown woman, old enough to have sex, get married, be a mother. I understood that she willingly had an affair with Clinton. I have read from more than one source that Clinton is utterly charming and women find him irresistable. Monica obviously fell for his charms. Where is the evidence he raped her?

As far as the age gap goes, there are dozens of well known older men who have younger girlfriends and it's not called rape. It might be morally dubious, but if she's willing........

PRIOR TO GETTING MARRIED, I had a very checkered past.  (I am a happily married, faithful wife.)  This gave me insight into male behavior on a grand scale.  Clinton was both charming and very sexy!  Trump is physically gross and gives me the creeps.  BUT, and it is a big BUT, power is sexy.  Many women would throw themselves at either: and some of those would then use past liasions as a power fulcrum or to attempt blackmail or compensation claims.

Frankly, so what if either are mysogenistic or "easy".  The qualities required in the leader of any country have no link to their sexual mores, but to their political ability to do the job.  The fact that Clinton was a disaster as a husband, should have had no affect on his presidency.  The same applies to Trump today.  Private is private and public is public.  The rest is none of my (or anyone else but Hilary/Melana's) business.

What worries me about Trump is his aggressive approach to business.  This is not the same as forceful:  The point of gunboat diplomacy is to show - not use - the gunboat.  He scares me!

I understand the lack of faith expressed in the status quo.  I completely agree with it too.  But, not him!!!  A loose cannon in the current frosty international relations is a step too far into the fire.

good post

Americans are way too uptight about sex
and private lives and personal lives are two at least somewhat different things
one can be a good leader yet a failure in the personal dept
the thing that really bothers me about Trump is the underage girls
I mean really,to deliberately walk in on teens in various stages of undress
sends the ICK factor OFF the chart

imagine having someone like that in your family

Here is a sobering article about how the nuclear triad (land, air, submarine based nukes) are administered by the US President.

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/10/12/opinion/trump-and-the-nuclear-keys.html" rel="nofollow - http://www.nytimes.com/2016/10/12/opinion/trump-and-the-nuclear-keys.html

I have my fingerprints on several Minuteman III ICBM missiles from my days in manufacturing in the 1970s, and these are now the strongest weapon in our arsenal.

If Trump gets the keys, well, anything can happen.  I don't trust this guy, especially with his bromance for Putin and other strongmen.

Hillary ain't perfect, but I don't think she poses an immediate security risk to the USA, despite all the email stuff.

Hillary as President and a Republican House is about the best we can hope for over here.

I try to stay out of politics on AFT and Facebook as it serves no purpose. Nothing I say or do will change the outcome of a major election, but I do risk losing friends over it.

This is one I wasn't going to touch either, but I do have to say that it's starting to resemble Charlie Sheen's megalomania meltdown. And there's something Donald Trump might want to consider when he's on one of his early morning Twitter rants against his own party and it's leaders - they probably have dirt on him that Democrats might not necessarily have access to. And with more and more people throwing their hats in the ring despite his lawyers attempts to gag the media outlets reporting on it, I only see this getting more unpleasant and sordid as election day approaches.

I can't really say much about Trump's stance on many issues because I can't figure out what they are. Apart from the "33,000 emails/ISIS/China/ISIS/border wall/ISIS/Muslim ban/ISIS/Bill Clinton" lines he throws out in answer to any question (whether it's relevant or not), I really don't know what he proposes to do if he's elected. He skirts around everything, and offers no solutions other than "something terrific", or "you won't believe it". And if he does take a stance, it invariably changes without explanation in a week or two, or he characterizes it as a joke.

I have little love for the GOP, but I'd much rather have a (somewhat) civilized fight between two candidates that want to debate real issues than this rapidly worsening reality TV mess. Politically, Paul Ryan is as far from me as it's possible to be, but he doesn't deserve his tenure as House Speaker to be remembered like this. The old guard of the Republican Party must be going crazy trying to regain some semblance of control, and the damage and divisions within the GOP are going to take a long time to heal. And I bet they're already drafting new rules surrounding presidential nominees, and how much control they have over them in the run up to the election. They're not letting this happen again.

In my office I have a rule: No religion, no politics and no music! You can believe anything you want to outside the office, but leave those three at the door. They just cause too many arguments. I try to stay away from religion and politics here too. Arguing on line seems to me to be a fools errand. The only thing I will say is: Please vote!

I was going to agree with you, arirish - except for the music part. Then I remembered a coworker at a previous job who's favorite was the Electric Slide song. Like playing it continuously for hours at a time kind of favorite. He'd play it on an MP3 player with a battery powered radio transmitter so he could hear it through the speakers of a boom box we kept on the desk. And he'd hit the back button just before it finished each time. Over and over and over. Hearing it once was no fun - dozens of times without a break every day, over the course of many months, was sheer hell. Thankfully (and not just for that reason) I don't work there anymore.
He was one of the boss's favorites and I definitely wasn't, so complaining wasn't going to work. I ended up buying myself a transmitter - a more powerful one - and without hooking it up to anything, I'd turn it on and place it under the the table below the radio when he started using his. Tuned to the same frequency and inches from the antennae, the static from mine drowned his out. And he never figured out why Wink

The question really is - if we are on the verge of a nuclear war - who will be able to deal with our enemies and effectively stop it?  It has nothing to do with who slept with who, which seems to be a bigger issue than health care, immigration, and America's desperate need to strengthen it's military.

This is typical campaign soap opera. Neither Bill Clinton or J.F.K have a good record on this and both were womanizers and cheated on their wives.

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/09/21/magazine/how-gary-harts-downfall-forever-changed-american-politics.html?_r=0

The Hart episode is almost universally remembered as a tale of classic hubris. A Kennedy-like figure on a fast track to the presidency defies the media to find anything nonexemplary in his personal life, even as he carries on an affair with a woman half his age and poses for pictures with her, and naturally he gets caught and humiliated. How could he not have known this would happen? How could such a smart guy have been that stupid?

Of course, you could reasonably have asked that same question of the three most important political figures of Hart’s lifetime, all Democratic presidents thought of as towering successes. Franklin Roosevelt, John Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson were adulterers, before and during their presidencies, and we can safely assume they had plenty of company. In his 1978 memoir, Theodore White, the most prolific and influential chronicler of presidential politics in the last half of the 20th century, wrote that he was “reasonably sure” that of all the candidates he had covered, only three — Harry Truman, George Romney and Jimmy Carter — hadn’t enjoyed the pleasure of “casual partners.” He and his colleagues considered those affairs irrelevant.

comment: It is very simple - and several of my friends and I have discussed this. Race and gender have become primary considerations in candidates from president to Congress. We are about to follow the lead of other nations and put  leaders by race or gender. If Hillary were not female, but male, she would not have the kind of support she does in many areas and all this public outcry about Trump the perv would not be in the headlines.

Fox and CNN are gunning Trump down as well as the Republican Party. They don't want him in. He will bring about real change and destroy the corrupt people that are in place all over and ruin it. I am surprised he hasn't been shot.

America is caught up in the net of their own ridiculous electoral vote mockery of pure democracy. There is no need for it. Gerrymandering districts for control by special social groups is not fair. No special interests should get special treatment and they are lining up for the "Hillary Clinton" administation. Wall Street is terrified Trump will get in.

Currently the nearly open border of America is causing a drastic influx of drugs and criminal who cannot even be sent home. The loss of massive jobs to companies who betray America and manufacture offshore is killing our country.

It will be found as more wikileaks come out that Hillary has two faces.

"What have we got to lose?"  Everything.

The world is watching America and is really concerned. What happened to them? The leaders and the richest economy and most powerful nation on Earth.

The clock is ticking.  Where is choice number 3?

Thanks!  I'm very concerned not only with Drumpf's bombastic oratory, but with the popularity of it across broad swaths of America.

I was under the mistaken impression that the US had come a long ways from its sordid past, but am rethinking that.

This is a fascinating map that indicates where his voters tend to reside....mostly white, rural, gun-owning America.  Nothing wrong with any of that, but they are being sold a bill of goods with Drumpf.

yes, I will be voting FOR Trump and proudly because I know (thanks to wikileaks with proof!!!) how disgusting the Hillary camp really is.  Trump is not and never has been a sexual predator!  I'm not dumb enough to fall for the left's usual tricks thank goodness.

He will FIX America and go back to smaller, less invasive government instead of the overreach and growth of government the left wants.  A nation without borders is NOT a nation.  We do not need the EU style of open borders, I mean really, it's done so well for them right?  There's a reason BREXIT went thru despite predictions it would not.

and Hillary is so much better why???

He says it... she does it.  She has a waaaayyyyy worse reputation by those who know her behind the scenes than Trump does.  Her public persona does NOT match her private persona.  That woman is said to have a mouth that makes sailors blush and she is a major sexual pervert who goes for both men and women and in larger demand than her husband.

Do you want someone for president who as a candidate and sec of state has a habit of finding associates "dead of suicide" (and questionable ones at that) all the time?  Go against and die.  There's a reason someone posted a picture of dead fly on fb the day after the 2nd debate and had added the caption "this is the fly that landed on Hillary during the debate last night... it was determined he died of  suicide" and people shared the heck out of it.

Wake up America!  I'd rather have a crude man who wants to fix things and who has nothing to gain from being president than one who wants to be president so badly that she will do anything to get it and once there wants to change our country to something our fore fathers would roll in their graves over.  I mean they tried so hard to set up our laws and architecture to prevent people like her from doing what she wants to do.

umm ... I think you mean women who are accusers are coming out of the woodwork.  Yeah, read wikileaks, talk to those who have gone up against the Clintons (assuming they are still alive) and find out the truth.  There's a reason that no one ever filed a complaint until now.  Typical democrat tactics!!!  and nothing more.

Trump is not a womanizer, abuser, etc.  He has no class in his public talking but he is full of class behind the scenes.  I'll take him any day over Hillary and her lying and conniving self!  I can't wait for him to take office.

I prefer a loose cannon to someone who does nothing at all but talk and allows an ambassador to be tortured and murdered while the WH sits and watches and tells the miliatary to 'stand down'.  We're a laughing stock thanks to those bozos and we'd continue to be with her in charge.

The media is so controlled we are not getting the real news. Only three presidents during the course of one historian's documents for almost a hundred years were faithful to their wives. The affairs of John F. Kennedy and other presidents as well as their basic treatment or opinion of women was never under the scrutiny it is in this election.

The key issue is - if Hillary Clinton is elected what will happen to America?  This has been completely obscurred by a massively planned character assassination of Trump. The current polls do not reflect accurately who is ahead. It is an attempt by the media to convince people so completely that they will follow and vote by who CNN - Fox - NY Times - and ABC News predicts. These polls represent little more than a thousand samples out of 300,000,000 people.

We have no reason to believe that they are accurate.

A president should not be elected because of gender. If Hillary were male -she'd be in jail.

I don't like Trump. He is obnoxious - looks funny on camera - whines and is not a politician. However, I like even less open borders which will destroy our economy and jobs - a cold fish on camera who lies about real feelings for minorites, women, or anyone and is two faced and has been proved to lie hundreds of times.

It is a revolution. First they elected Obama largely because he was a black man and now Hillary largely because she is female and it will be "payback is a bitch" to the male gender for possibly the next 8 years. I have no doubt once the Democrats are in power, they will not leave. Most of it will carry through the rest of most of our lifetimes. I am not prejudice but you cannot manipulate the public by cleverly picking numbers of each race and sex for your cabinet and have it show you care about any of them. I do care about all races and it is reflected in my life - all of it.

It is likely - very likely - in the popular vote - that 50% or more do not like Hillary and for a good reason. If we can put aside the demonizing and lynch mob mentality for Trump - consider how the job and industries of oil, coal, and or working class will be devastated by an influx of foreign workers and the destruction of oil and coal jobs.

The Clinton Foundation was undeniably corrupt and with the Wikileaks - wherever they are from and have never been denied are mostly accurate - violation of the security of United States is an act of treason - and this has been done. They did pay for play and it will continue to happen in the presidency, should Hillary be elected.

Who will push the nuclear button? It is not likely to be Trump. But in a get tough - let's tell the whole world top secret information on how many minutes a president has to respond - she will order it to be pushed on Russia in a heartbeat.

Why do you think they are hustling doing nuclear shelter drills?  Putin thinks we will launch and we will. Is that the answer? All out global thermonuclear war?

I think not.  Kim Jong-un is bad with his tests but this could be a whole lot worse. As everyone sits in the comfort of their homes watching reality television and agonzing about what group isn't getting their rights, we will see foreign nationals - terrorists in our streets as they flood in from Syria to New York and blow it up. We should not discrimate again any group, but we should be sure any person coming into the U.S. is not an enemy to us and screen everyone.

America cannot survive another 4 years of Barack Obama medical care or foreign policy. This is not about special-group rights - this is about human rights - and survival.

If Hillary wins, the day after not a word more will be said of all this Trump drama. The blacks, whites and all races, will find their inner cities in anarchy with police being shot and racism at all time high. Not against blacks - against anyone who not of color.

It could become a police state as anyone expressing any kind of bad opinion is stalked, hunted, and killed.

Yes, Trump has been a sleaze. And this is not confined to the male gender. There are bad people among all races, religions, and genders. Perhaps there should be a bit more invesitigation on other affairs by other candidates than Trump.

Voters should focus on America and what will either help or destroy it. There will be no economic boom as we run out of money to help immigrants more than we do the hard working, starving, and struggling American citizens and our own military we need so desparately to defend us.

There could very well be anarchy in the big cities if we do not honor and appreiate those who protect and defend us- "not if - but when."

The problem with depopulation by war is that if it involves huge numbers of troops, it kills young people. Out of all age groups, we need the young adult section of the population to be the most populous. If I were depopulating the earth, I'd be trying to get rid of anyone over retirement age, not young adults.

Along that line of thought, I'd use a nasty disease specifically aimed at older people to depopulate, though quite what that is, I have no idea.

It's a bit like that film where a comet is about to hit earth, and Morgan Freeman announces a lottery for places within survival bunkers, and that no one over the age of 50 would be entered into the draw unless they were particularly valuable for the future of the planet.

So we have a choice between a criminal Clinton or a sexist Trump. I'm still voting for Trump purely because of the nomination to the Supreme Court. The 2nd Amendment is at stake. Hillary has been outspoken about this issue too, even though she's recently changed her tune and says the opposite. Now she's telling everyone that she only wants to close the loopholes.

Here's Hillary's exact words.
“The Supreme Court is wrong on the Second Amendment. And I am going to make that case every chance I get.”

–Private fund raising event in New York, New York, September 2015

This election is about more than sexist comments by Trump and nobody should be fooled by the criminal Clinton's.

Most people have been buying guns for self-defense. Also, lots of people hunt and others simply like to shoot for target practice. Target practice is a sport just like soccer. Since you're so opposed to guns, you cannot possibly see the other side. Some students in Alaska carry guns to school with them in order to protect themselves from wild animals as they wait for the school bus in the dark of winter.

The mass killings are mainly amongst and between the inner city gangs. As far as I'm concerned they can keep killing themselves so we'll have less dope peddlers on our streets. Innocent people do get killed in the cross fire sometimes and those cases are sad. However, medical errors are estimated to be the 3rd leading cause of death in this country, so why aren't people talking about THAT?

Anyone who works for our government and not only deletes thousands of e-mails is a criminal whether they've been charged with a crime or not. Hillary did this AFTER she was subpoenaed.

Clinton and her campaign don’t dispute that she deleted these 33,000 emails. They argue that these were personal in nature, rather than work-related, and therefore were not necessary to turn over. The problem with this is that we may never know whether these e-mails were personal or not, now will we? The congressional subpoena was on March 4, 2015, and an employee deleted the emails sometime after March 25, 2015, three weeks later. Only a criminal would delete e-mails following a subpoena!

Now try to search on "dead people surrounding the Clinton's" and read some of that.

Just because Hillary hasn't been caught doesn't mean she's not a criminal. It's just a matter of time and I'm hoping that's just around the corner with the latest treasure trove of discovered e-mails.

It never ceases to amaze me how arrogant people from other countries can be with regards to the United States. We don't criticize your country, so why do you criticize ours? Maybe it's time that us hard working American's end our alliance with Australia and you can defend yourselves if/when the Chinese come knocking.

Australia also has a black market in guns, so only time will tell. By the way there were an average of 91 gun deaths per day in America over a 5 year period ending in 2014 or roughly 33,215 per year. 38,300 people were killed in car accidents last year and 4.4 million people were injured. Should we ban cars?

These gun death statistics don't address the number of people who were saved because of guns.

If you look at the following chart, gun deaths don't even show up although they likely make up a portion of suicides.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/to-your-health/wp/2016/05/03/researchers-medical-errors-now-third-leading-cause-of-death-in-united-states/

Maybe we should ban doctors and hospitals instead.

http://worldnewsdailyreport.com/yoko-ono-i-had-an-affair-with-hillary-clinton-in-the-70s/

Los Angeles | Yoko Ono shocked reporters yesterday when she responded to a question concerning the presidential run of Hillary Clinton and the possibility that she could become the first woman President of the United States in American history.

The artist and widow of John Lennon, who is in Los Angeles to present a collection of cups and saucers she is exhibiting at the Museum of Modern Art, totally took reporters by surprise by admitting she had not only met the former First Lady at various times during a series of protests against the Vietnam War in New York in the 1970s but also knew her “intimately”.

The celebrity admitted laughingly to having “a fling” with her at the time and acknowledged her election “would be a great advancement for LGBT and Women rights in America” she added.

This is not National Enquirer. It is likely the reason why Hillary has so much support from the LGBT.  No one should be presecuted or discrimated against, but we should not make the rights for alternate lifestyles, transexuals, and women the cornerstone of our reason for electing a president.

This election has turned into a Jerry Springer affair with people punching each other and wrestling on the floor.  This is not reality television. We cannot sit back in America munching away on our food while much of the world has none and not worry about real life threats to our nation and national security.

Hillary blew it. It is that simple. The lies are legion. With knowledge and forethought she willfully violated the trust of all who relied on her to protect our country and should be tried and sent to jail. This certainly did not stop America from impeaching Bill Clinton for his lying to an investigation committee. She lied as well. It is an open and shut case.

Yes, Donald Trump has been abusive and said bad things. Yet the vast majority of the Iraq population has faith that he will be tough on terror and make America great again.

People in the shadows do not want to tell others they support him. They don't want to argue and fight or identify with his pouty face and locker room mouth.  But who will negotiate with Russia and keep us from having a nuclear war over Syria?

Who will drain the swamp and clean out political corruption that has existed even before 9-11 and shake down those who control our nation in direct violation of our democracy?

One thing I have learned in my elder years is you cannot live your life based on what others think or want you to do - even your own family and those you love dearly. Voters must find the courage to go with their gut instincts and not be fooled by generated polls which do not reflect the will of the American people.

We should take on as our motto the words from a song done by the Who.

i agree AMERICANS must do what they got to do,and as i said before i understand the want /need to

 change the status quo ,

but here in Australia and in my country of birth UK,

we dont have guns and we do have a health system that cares for all,

i do understand the need for farmers and such to have a gun ,

but to have no real checks on background on someone wanting not just a fire arm but one that  can

do lots of damage and kill lots of people with ONE clip seems madness to me ,

we in the west do have an interest in the LEADER OF AMERICA,

if it Trump or Clinton thats up to you ,

Clinton supporting "moderate rebels", regime change in Syria, bad US-Russia relations and "mixed"on Iran. Trump willing to sit down with Russia and China, show realism on IS try to keep some US influence in the middle east.

On foreign relations I would vote for Trump if I had to choose between this "type" and clinton. If I was a US citizen I proberbly would be active in the Green Party-so I would not have to choose between "C' or "T".

I know I'm going to regret this, but hey...

I don't mean to single you out, but I think you overestimate Trump's abilities, Josh. Stiffing contractors on his home turf with threats of legal action and an army of lawyers to bolster his fragile ego couldn't be any further removed from negotiating with foreign leaders on the international stage. His knowledge of global affairs is tenuous at best, and his one foray so far into the world of international politics (his meeting with Mexico's President) was anything but a success. Despite all his grandstanding on the subject, his much touted wall was barely mentioned when it counted. Like the bully he's shown himself to be on many occasions, he essentially backed down and scurried home with his tail between his legs, then pretended that he'd stood up to Peña Nieto at a Trump rally on his return.

I'm not sure how anyone can support his strategy for defeating ISIS when he's kept it secret. Without anything concrete to go on (except that's it's probably tremendous, and we won't believe how terrific it is) he hasn't given me much confidence in his ability to take out a group where nobody else has succeeded. Real estate mogul hardly seems like a relevant qualification when it comes to fighting terrorists, especially in a region he barely understands. If you look past his admittedly impressive gift for self promotion, there doesn't seem to be much else he has to offer.

You know how turbulent the Middle East is, Josh. Based on what I've seen of his knowledge of international affairs, I doubt Trump could even point to Iraq on a map, let alone grasp it's religious, cultural and political complexities well enough to affect positive change. The man simply doesn't understand the way the rest of the world works.

From here in NZ, Trump comes across as very "gung ho" and as JacksDad says, he has a gift for self promotion. But it's one thing to talk big and completely another to play fast and loose with people's lives and well being.

Trump certainly implies that he will sort everything out, but how will he sort out Syria? He'll throw troops at it. How many troops will die as a result of him rushing in foolishly without due diligence?

Military Service personnel are real people, not some disposable asset like bullets.  I wonder how long the American people will put up with their troops being cannon fodder before they realise just what they've done by voting him to become president.

Kiwi, you're making assumptions about someone who you don't even know. Furthermore, why are you and Carbon20 concerned with an American election when you don't even live here? The two of you should pay attention to your own political elections instead of ours.

Jacks Dad, I agree with you on Trump'slack of knowledge in foreign affairs. Clinton was the US foreign secretary and she was a disaster ! When I look at Debka's "shortlist" I can only hope Trump may be able to pull "the west" out of a dead end street. Clinton wants to speed up ! That will not end well !

The next US president MUST talk with Putin. Both Clinton and Trump do not make me very optimistic.

A US president is not only "the leader of the US but also the leader of the west". This is a forum-so people can give their opinion. But when I look at Europe it is also political crises over here...we are all in the same boat.

If Australian's and New Zealander's feel that the U.S. has influence around the world, then why don't they meddle with China instead? They have over 1.3 billion people to our 324.1 million. The Chinese are at their back door, not the U.S.

Try telling the Chinese what your opinions are and they'll stomp you out like a little bug and may yet anyway. After all, the rich Chinese will want their vacation homes, so why shouldn't they build them on the coasts of Australia and New Zealand?

It's all to easy for someone to have opinions and arrogance about another country when they don't live there.

Crabby by name, crabby by nature.

Calm down Crabby, no one's attacking you or America. Carbon20 and I are not being arrogant about your precious election, we're just enjoying the spectacle. Although there are other candidates standing, we only ever here about Trump and Clinton, and frankly you lot have a choice of the devil or the deep blue sea.

Personally I don't care who you vote in. It's Trump who is making it so funny. He's almost a living parody of himself. I absolutely love his voice. I love the way he talks, his inflections and intonations are great. And I really mean that. In fact, I've found myself saying "it'll be great" and then inflecting upwards and repeating myself and I love it.

As for the Chinese, yes they are closer to us, and there are plenty of Chinese in NZ, and plenty of Chinese companies buying up NZ ones (as they are doing all over the world) in order to guarantee their food supply by buying up the source of production. We have trade deals with them and so far, I can't see the problem with that.

Crabby, I wish you well and I hope you're not going to get all upset about everything that's said about America on here. No one means it maliciously. Join and become a member and you'll see.

Fox is going to continue to lie about who is ahead until the last day. They are holding onto that 2% for Clinton despite the real figures Rasmussen

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton each with 44% support among Likely U.S. Voters. Libertarian Gary Johnson gets four percent (4%) of the vote, and Green Party candidate Jill Stein is at one percent (1%). Three percent (3%) like another candidate in the race, and four percent (4%) are undecided.

It is a dead heat. Mexico is hedging their bets and preparing for a wall as well as the end of NAFTA. Perhaps it is the CHUMP against the CROOK. You realize of course with all the politics and arms around people of color and alternate lifestyles, it may look very much like Tonto next to The Long Ranger in the valley surrounded by Indians on all sides.

The Lone Ranger says "Well Tonto, looks like we are in real trouble" and Tonto replies
"What do you mean we, White Man?"

We've heard the birds sing before the social justice warriors. Don't worry. Elect me and you will still get your checks, your social security, money for schools, women's projects, minority projects. No, no one will be deported and no more abuse from that terrible evil man.

Problem is, real abuse is having no money to pay for it all and coming back and saying "I did my best but so sorry - they had to cut all the programs and you all are going to starve and be homeless as I live in my rich house from the 100 million dollars Bill and I may with "pay for play" selling favors.

SJW (Social Justice Warriors) do not want to hear this. They are willing to forgive Hillary as long as their cause will win. It doesn't matter about the over all survival of America or who will pay for it.

There are things people say and things people do. The level of corruption, bribery, and violence are reaching an all time high.

More of the same for another 4 years is going to destroy America. It has been said when you are in a corner, do something no one expects you to do. The last thing, like when you are at a cliff's edge and hunted by raptors and jump. Lots of good movies like that. Well, it is when everything is locked up tight, you must gamble.

The media is lying to the American people. Their polls are wrong and if they call this one wrong, and they may have, they will lose credibilty for a long time.

We have endured 8 years of bad economic plans, bad health care, and nothing that worked to help the country.

Will anyone vote for the Chump?

Right now its dead on but most are under so much heat from the others, they aren't telling.

This is called - irony.

The press is not going to quit. They know that one more bad story on Clinton may cinch it. Over the weekend they keep holding on to that 2% - it's gone.

I won't be glad when this is over. Unless it ends right.

Thanks to our friends in Oz and Scotland!

Indeed, I'm leery that Putin is licking his chops over this...

Newly elected presidents are often tested by foreign powers....China did this to George W. Bush, by shooting down and capturing a valuable electronic surveillance plane, stripping it of critical and secret technology.

I could easily see Putin doing something after Trump takes the oath of office.

I'm grateful to be in touch with such good souls as we find on AFT!

inconvenient truth for you crabby

Hillary was the peoples real choice in this election

she won the popular vote

MORE people wanted her in the White House

unfortunately the electoral college system deprived the citizens of this country their REAL choice

Trump took advantage of the "RIGGED SYSTEM" to scheme his way into the White House

Posted By: Guests
Date Posted: November 09 2016 at 9:08pm
Donald Trump did not "scheme" his way into the white house. He simply ran for president like all the other candidates and nothing more. Unless they do away with the electoral college we're stuck with it, like it or not. You cannot pick and choose which elections to complain about it.

I blame Hillary Clinton for the gutter sniping that she did throughout her campaign by trying to convince the "uneducated" that Donald Trump shouldn't have his finger on the "button". That's utter nonsense and meant to create fear in some people. I hope that Hillary crawls right back under whatever rock she came out of and that her communist influence peddling is over. In fact I think that Hillary would be happiest living in places like China, Cuba, or North Korea. Then she wouldn't have to try so hard to create Communism here.

I was not happy with the selection of Obama as our president for the past 8 years, but I lived with it, so Hillary's follower's will simply have to do the same, assuming that their adult enough to live with that decision. If they choose to move to Canada, then hopefully they'll stay there and not vote in our next election. Good riddance!

Research Saul Alinsky so you can find out who the real Hillary Clinton is. The first thing they want to do is to control healthcare (DONE!). Then they try to increase poverty (DONE!), then increase the national debt (DONE!), bring in gun control (which she's openly spoken of doing), among other things such as influencing the education of our children (IN PROGRESS). Another agenda item is the removal of God from education. Obama has had great influence on the military in trying to remove the word "God" and "Christmas".

If anyone here truly believes that having a Communist as our president then I invite them to move to a communist country instead of trying to change ours.

I noticed that some people here are from Scotland, Australia, and New Zealand. They have communist parties in every one of those countries also, so beware of some peoples' opinions here.

Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama are cut from the same communist thinking of Saul Alinsky. They truly did want to CHANGE AMERICA to communism. Hillary interviewed Saul Alinsky for her master's thesis and Obama followed Alinsky's methods in his early days as a Chicago community organizer. I sincerely hope that we're done with the two of them, but I suspect that they'll both be a thorn in our side for years to come.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=404bfK3SUF4" rel="nofollow - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=404bfK3SUF4 20% of clinton-campain funding came from Saudi Arabia and Qatar. The US-link with IS-funding countries is a major global problem, maybe Trump will end that.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipw3PpIX-SY" rel="nofollow - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipw3PpIX-SY Trump is the outcome of a proces, just like in Europe, large groups of people do not feel represented. Democracy has to renew itself in the internet-era; the other side of the coin is a "totalitarian democracy" in wich people are government traced 24/7 via the internet.

Without delving into my personal opinion of Trump, one of my biggest concerns is that he makes good on his promise to either pull out of NATO, or refuses to help a NATO country that hasn't contributed their full 2%. Potentially Putin could well view statements like that as an open invitation to walk across neighboring borders unchallenged, knowing the US military will sit back and let it happen based on one person's skewed business ethics. In much the same way he'd stiff a contractor working on one of his casinos, he'd let an entire country be swallowed up by Russia on purely economic grounds - ironic for a man who's based his empire on not paying his share.
Dubya worried me, but this guy has political Tourettes syndrome, little or no understanding of the world at large, and a worsening case of megalomania. And we just gave him control of the entire US military and the launch codes...
