I just heard a rumor that most of the Crestor sold in the USA is made by IPR Pharmaceuticals in Puerto Rico and the plant has been shut down since Marie hit. Might not hurt to stock up if you can!

WOW! I take it so but they give me 3 months and I can't get more so it is what it is.

Flumom- I'm in the same situation with my prescriptions! I get e-mail notification when it's time to re-fill. The notification always comes a week to ten days before i'm out and I always re-fill and pick up asap! In time you get months ahead of the game!


Also, this is one of the best sellers so I doubt the shortage will last very long even if they have to quit making something else!

I take Crestor  (rosuvastatin) also, it is generic now, so I imagine the supply chain is more diverse.  

Countries like Israel are huge manufacturers of generic drugs.  I don't think we'll have any problems.
