This has got to be one of the most lame ideas I have read about in years.

http://www.thesun.ie/news/1643300/south-korea-developing-graphite-blackout-bombs-to-paralyse-norths-electrical-grid/" rel="nofollow - https://www.thesun.ie/news/1643300/south-korea-developing-graphite-blackout-bombs-to-paralyse-norths-electrical-grid/

Military sources told the Yonhap news agency that the graphite bombs work by spreading chemically treated carbon filaments over electric facilities to short-circuit the grid.

It is unlikely this would stop an inevitable attack on Seoul that would kill 20 million people in less than an hour.  Once N.K. is attacked they will launch - this would start a war.  Just because people aren't killed doesn't mean they would not invade South Korea.

Everybody is raving about this like it is really something. I don't think it is.

In an instant, the entire country of North Korea would blackout … such is the power of new bombs under development in South Korea.

comment: Not lethal to people. Guess again. Who would suffer more - the military or the people?

In modern life, many things rely on electricity. North Koreans would have no electricity, no lights, no water purification, no sewage management and with the looming freezing temperatures of winter … they would have no heating.

Is this what they mean by "we are going to hurt you" to N.K. ?

Shoot, it's Halloween - why not have a Frankenmissile - catchy title - but wait - is truth stranger than fiction?

http://www.yahoo.com/news/south-korea-apos-apos-frankenmissile-173613768.html" rel="nofollow - https://www.yahoo.com/news/south-korea-apos-apos-frankenmissile-173613768.html

In a report released Thursday, the South Korean army said the Hyunmoo IV surface-to-surface missile, dubbed "Frankenmissile" by South Korean media, would be used in combination with other surface-to-surface missiles and Hyunmoo-class intermediate-range missiles to inflict an "unbearable cost" to its nuclear-armed northern rival.

comment: IC - we are going to inflict huge damage to N.K. without killing civilians.  Kinda like the Graphite missile that totally ruins sanitation and can't be good for hospitals. Remember this is a weapon that can shut down the power grid in all of N.K.

Where will our little cheese enthusiast (Kim Jong-un) go?  Underground.  And after these blasts where will the missiles come from? Underground.

Course no one is paying attention to the fact they have submarines as well - and have been messing with launching a nuke from those.

Perhaps we are down to - we must attack in some way and we don't want to wipe out the people. Of course we did not stop their hackers from grabbing a large share of our plans to attack them. So they have a pretty good idea of what we are going to do. After all, it takes months of planning and decisions to execute an attack... doesn't it?

So we move into Dumb, Dumber, and Dumbest plans.  Personal best-  given our weapons - a bunker buster clearing the way for a nuke over where they will hide would probably dampen the enthusiasm considerably.

You blow a huge hole and then you deep drop a nuke into it seconds later.  That will definitely tip over the furniture in the shelter and possibly melt the inhabitants.

Meanwhile, the bones are still being waved in the air and "I'm going to get you my pretty pretty" paraphrased is being tweeted and published back and forth - with name calling - and no possible chance of any negotiation period.

It will not work. China will not step in and do enough to stop N.K.
End of story.
