From news reporting, we know that the Salisbury UK attack against the Russian ex-spy and his wife appeared to use a "novel" Russian nerve agent.

I was not familiar with this one, so I had to look up "Novichok" agent.  Bad, bad stuff:

Novichok is reported to be 5–8 times more lethal than VX nerve agent and effects are rapid, usually within 30 seconds to 2 minutes.

5-8 times more powerful? Scary stuff, Chuck.
