I just saw this online....reading between the lines, folks are REALLY worried about weaponized smallpox or similar pox virus!!  

Realize that smallpox is supposed to be eradicated in the wild, and known stockpiles are minimal and highly regulated.  If they are adding millions of doses to the SNS, suspicions must be very high about a state actor like North Korea, already rumored to hold smallpox in weapon form.  This is very scary.  

BTW, I've been trained in SNS dispensing & vaccination procedures, so I'm pretty wigged out by this.

The FDA Antimicrobial Drugs Advisory Committee recommended in favor of the approval of oral tecovirimat (TPOXX, SIGA Technologies), a small-molecule antiviral treatment for smallpox and other orthopoxviruses. 

The U.S. government’s Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) funded the advanced development of oral tecovirimat in partnership with SIGA. Additionally, under Project BioShield, BARDA has acquired 2 million courses of oral tecovirimat, and such courses have been delivered to the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS).

Although tecovirimat is not yet approved as safe and effective by the FDA, it is a novel small-molecule drug of which 2 million courses have been delivered to the SNS under Project BioShield.



The panel, comprising independent medical experts, voted unanimously (17-0) that the benefits of tecovirimat outweigh its risks.

i'v thought about this before,

it would be very easy for a rouge state or country to immunise its people ,

 and then send out Agents (aka) 12 monkeys 

and its goodbye the human race,

no atomic bomb required..................

and all this peace thing with North Korea is a Smokescreen  hiding what China is up to 

I have a bad feeling about this ................
