No immediate tsunami warning

An earthquake of magnitude 6.7 hsa struck off British Columbia, the United States Geological Survey said.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage from the quake, which hit at a depth of 33 km about 190 km southwest of Port Hardy, a town on the northeast end of Vancouver island.

There was no immediate tsunami warning.

-best scenario=release of pressure=decrease of any further (major) quakes
-can trigger further quakes along the faultline (in this case western US/Mexico may see an increase in quakes)
-worst case scenario=foreshock https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foreshock" rel="nofollow - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foreshock that may be an alarm for a major event on its way.

DJ-All indications so far are no damage or injuries. Most likely there will be (some) more quakes. It is unusual to see THREE such M6+ quakes within this timeframe in that area.
