Siphon gas the easy way.
If the hose will slide down in the tank and out easily, put it down in the tank, place your thumb over the end of the hose, pull it up and point it down toward the ground, may have to do it, two or three times, when gas flows, put it in jug.
Put some water in a bucket and practice this, it works! Try using a straw in a glass, to test this, it works.

If hose won't slide in and out easy, but you have compressed air handy, {NOT OXYGEN} put hose down in tank, place air line in cap area, seal off fairly well with a rag, turn air on just enough to raise pressure in tank, you will hear air, and gas coming out of hose in a few seconds, when siphon starts running well, cut off air flow.

A small hose works best with the thumb method, a bigger one with air.

Or the easiest way yet...

Put bucket under gas tank, slam a large ice-pick into gas tank directly above bucket.  Run and hide while tank is draining ( don't want to be a target now do we).  When tank has drained, retrieve your bucket and make a hasty exit.

Of course TN's method is nicer and you can always only take a bit from multiple cars so no one is the wiser that you are ripping them off.

I would only advocate this obviously illegal and immoral activity in the most dire of emergencies.  But as we don't know what our future holds who knows if this knowledge will come in handy.  Let's all hope not.

Zoe, I would only take gas from my own junkers if need be. If things got bad here, siphoning gas would get you SHOT. These old boys here won't play around if things get bad.
They can send the Guard in, to protect the looters here.
