Every once in a while we have had a bird fall down the chimney flue.  We seldom use the fireplace (thank goodness for the birds) yet it is a mess trying to get a live bird unharmed out of the fireplace and the house. 
 
Having a wild bird with avian flu in the house would be a disaster.  So I'm making sure we have a screen placed over the top of the chimney flues.

AAAA...We also get bird down our chimney...They even make it into the woodstove...

 
That will be next on our list......Forgot about that...
