Yesterday I sent my dad to Red Gold Canning Factory store to purchase foods in bulk. If you live near a canning factory (as in tomatoes) they should have a factory store. They also carry slightly dented cans and cans that are not labeled (easy enough to label with masking tape and a marker when you open the marked box.) I purchased a case (12) cans of mushroom spaghetti sauce for $5.00, a case (24 cans) of spicy diced tomatoes for $6.00 and a case (24) of red beans $11.00 (regular price). I have used this stuff for years and let me tell you it is great. They also carry beans, sloppy joe mix, ketchup, salsa, spicy tomato juice (to mix with vodka, my preference) or to make chili (made it last night), etc. Just thought this info might help in prepping. |
