http://www.veteransnewsnow.com/2012/07/31/va-purchased-spying-software-used-it-on-employees/

(this is an old news release. There is much more current information which at the moment which will find their way on the net and or have already.)

According to government records, the FDA, DEA and VA within the last five years all bought software from SpectorSoft Corp., a Vero Beach, Fla.-based company that on its website describes itself as providing “PC/Internet monitoring and surveillance products” for users including the government.

The question is: How does an agency make sure it’s not also interfering or retaliating against whistleblower activity? Courts have held that whistleblowing by public employees constitutes protected speech under the First Amendment, and that agencies may not fire workers for expressing concerns about waste, fraud, abuse, mismanagement or public safety.

Begging the question : The new breed of spying software is available to companies and private individuals as well. This would indicate since version of it are being use by Iran currently on the Internet and likely even groups in the criminal spectrum and who have become highly proficient in collecting, tracking, and monitoring data.

Was it necessary to use the nuclear bomb because it was doable? Very likely, yes are we would be speaking German, Japanese, or another language than English.  These are data nuke invasions of the Internet and very powerful.  Reasonable expectation of privacy on the Internet. None.
