The story begins some time ago - but as this thread evolves we will delve into the situation as it exists today. There have been movies about the outbreak of Ebola and yet there are far more dangerous strains of other viruses lurking about.  It began in Malaysia and its name originated from Sungai Nipah, a village in the Malaysian Peninsula where pig farmers became ill with encephalitis.

The media have all but forgotten this threat, but it is possible terrorists and others have not - and it could be lurking - refined and released - and even become Pandemic. And so it began in 1999...
