Syria:

UK:

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/ng-interactive/2017/jun/08/live-uk-election-results-in-full-2017 May will try to form a coalition with a protestant Ulster-party. Labour more or less in a coalition/opposition with Scottish, Welsh and Sinn Fein (Ulster catholics) parties. Regional conflicts can become national problems ? http://www.globalresearch.ca/general-election-early-statistics-britain-in-chaos-divided-and-polarised/5594124

SCO

http://www.veteranstoday.com/2017/06/09/fighting-terrorism-is-at-the-top-of-the-agenda-at-the-sco-summit/ India and Pakistan join Russia and China (a.o.) in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. Declare to support eachother in the fight against terror (a.o. in Syria). Iran and Turkey may join in 2018 (?)

Qatar:

http://www.aljazeera.com/ Al Jazeera now doing more on the internet. The pro-Saudi coalition trying to block the Qatar news. Iran is offering ports, airspace, fooddelivery. The Saudi-coalition may try to block that. https://www.ft.com/content/09c45a96-4c61-11e7-a3f4-c742b9791d43?mhq5j=e2

(DJ; the conflict between saudi "king" salman and Qatar is about wich terrorists to support. Saudi Arabia is behind IS, Qatar supports hamas, al-qaeda (for the US "moderate rebel"-terrorists). Also Qatar is doing business with Iran in Liquid Natural Gas (LNG). Qatar was thinking of a pipeline via Iran-Iraq-Turkey-making the "civil war" in Syria pointless. Above that Qatar wants to do deals in Chinese Yuans instead of US$. The conflict with Qatar involves therefor also the US (petro-dollar).)

DJ; my impression is that there is-from time to time-a "news black out". (Update-https://southfront.org/military-situation-in-southeastern-syria-after-government-forces-reached-border-with-iraq/ According to this map also (PMU) movements on the Iraq-side of Syria-Iraq border locking in US-UK/FSA. Almost no confirmation so far. https://www.almasdarnews.com/article/breaking-syrian-army-hezbollah-reaches-border-iraq-first-time-years/ Hezbollah can get weapons from Iran over land-Israel will try to avoid that.)

SCO:

http://www.globaltimes.cn/content/1050352.shtml India and Pakistan join (a.o.) Russia and China in the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shanghai_Cooperation_Organisation, http://eng.sectsco.org/ (DJ; half of the world population lives now in a SCO memberstate-western media totally blind !)
https://www.rt.com/news/391582-xi-lonely-warrior-putin/ Russia and China have become "good friends".

Qatar:

With 10.000 US soldiers in Qatar and https://www.rt.com/usa/391746-trump-qatar-terrorism-statement/ there is no need for an invasion. (DJ: The US is backing "king" Salman (81-dementia) of Saudi Arabia. In Qatar there might be 3000 Turkish soldiers and 300 (?) Iranian Revolutionary Guard-elite forces.)

Syria:

http://russia-insider.com/en/military/breaking-syrian-army-has-reached-iraqi-border-cutting-americans-al-tanf-russian-mod/ri20066 Syria and Iraq took over control of their border from US-UK-IS-proxy fighters. Proberbly backed by Russia. (Russian pressbreefing here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LdZGi9l_2Xw western media total blackout.)

US-IS cooperation:

Those pro-Assad forces (Syrian, Hezbollah, Iraq, Iran) are digging in for the expected counterattack (by both the US and Israel trying to avoid a land-link from Iran to Hezbollah.)

During the 2007 war games in Russia, with leaders of SCO member states in attendance including Chinese President Hu Jintao, Russia's President Vladimir Putin used the occasion to take advantage of a captive audience: Russian strategic bombers, he said, would resume regular long-range patrols for the first time since the Cold War. "Starting today, such tours of duty will be conducted regularly and on the strategic scale", Putin said. "Our pilots have been grounded for too long. They are happy to start a new life".

On 4 June 2014, in the Tajik capital Dushanbe, the idea was brought up to merge the SCO with the Collective Security Treaty Organization. It is still being debated.

IS-leader "Baghdadi" killed in Raqqa ?

Kurds:

DJ-The Kurds are the biggest nation (20-30+ million depending on the defenition) without their own country. The US is presently using the Kurds to divide Syria. Kurds are their own biggest enemies by their division. The West has proven to be no friend of the Kurds, supporting Iran during the Shah, Turkey, Iraq-in their wars against the Kurds. The West is interested in oil and gas-the Kurds are "in the way".

For that reason the best hopes for the Kurds is in both the diplomatic field-getting support from Russia and the US AND in the military field; trying to get as strong and united as possible.

Trump has said that "there is no long-term US commitment, US friendships have to serve the US". In other words "use 'm and dump 'm". As long as it serves the Kurdish groups they are willing to cooperate with the US, happy to get US (and Israeli) weapons. But for getting their own country they can only do that themselves.

Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria all-at best-are willing to give the Kurds within their borders some form of self-government as part of their country-but not a "Kurdistan".

In Syria and Iraq the Kurds did get a stronger position, although already divided in several groups. When the Kurds want their own country they need support from outside the region.

Qatar:

DJ: When you invite a guest you expect that guest to behave. When that guest is misusing your hospitality it may come to a point were you want that guest to leave your house.

The US is a guest in Qatar. Calling the Doha leadership "friends of terrorists" is not very polite.

There are 10.000 US military in Qatar. Turkey, Pakistan, Iran are now sending troops to Qatar.

Trump keeps insulting Qatar, Tillerson is wiser. There are enough countries interested in getting the-now-US base in Qatar. Iran taking over that bases would be very provocative, but Russia, China, Turkey, Pakistan all show interest.

Trump created the Qatar-crisis. If he wants the US to loose another ally, give Russia, Iran, China more influence in the Middle East-he is doing a "good" job.

Of course Qatar is supporting terrorism. Most of the Middle East countries do so. The US does it herself as well.

EU-US:

Merkel-Macron-May all got the message of how Trump sees "friendships"; it has to serve the US.

Germany is leading the EU-in-crisis. Expanding the EU for political reasons with 10 East European countries is one of the reasons for that crisis. (The Euro is another one, Southern Europe proberbly should have stayed out of the Euro for their own good.)

Trump willing to start trade wars against the rest of the world will not "make America great again". It is pushing the EU-with the 10 eastern Europe states-towards EurAsia; Russia, China.

The EU needs to reform, but can provide a bases for European regions to get more self determination within a larger entity. If you want to solve regional problems in Europe the EU-at its best-can be helpfull.

http://www.unz.com/tsaker/the-crisis-in-qatar/

Very good article because it looks wider than just Qatar.

The US-Israel-Saudi coalition had a plan to put pressure on Iran but find out they may get the opposite of their goals. Russia may get more influence in the Middle East.

Last lines put the basics right !:

I will end this column by comparing what Presidents Putin and Trump are doing these days as I find this comparison highly symbolic of the new era we are living in:

Trump, after bombing a few “technicals” (4×4 trucks with a machine gun) and trucks in Syria, the proceeded to tweet that Comey was a liar and a leaker.

The Russian version of the G8: the SCO

The Russian version of the G8: the SCO

As for Putin, he participated the latest meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) which welcomed both Pakistan and India as full members. The SCO now represents over half of all the people living on our planet and one quarter of the world’s GDP. You can think of it as the “other G8”, or the “G8 that matters”.

I submit that this quick comparison of agenda really says I all.

https://www.welt.de/politik/ausland/article165905618/We-got-a-*****in-problem.html The US claim of Assad using Sarin gas in april 2017 was a lie. Still the US comes up with more insanity to keep their weapon-production going; https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2017/06/26/white-house-says-syrias-assad-preparing-another-chemical-attack-warns-of-heavy-penalty/?utm_term=.502490ddae43. Assad-a dictator the US did deals with many times in the past-would be planning "another chemical attack".

http://www.veteranstoday.com/2017/06/24/germany-mulling-over-sanctions-against-the-us/ The US putting sanctions on EU companies working with the Russian energysector is making EU-US relations worse. After the climate-insanity of d.trump, the refugeecrisis, the US supporting IS via Saudi Arabia (https://southfront.org/fake-news-saudi-arabia-issues-ultimatum-putin-vows-destroy-russian-forces-syria-3-days/ the mad "king" salman pointing another insane "prince" as his successor-does Saudi Arabia still plan (with Turkey, Israel ??) to openly fight on the side of IS and other "moderate western supported terrorists" in Syria ?) the EU may become fed up with this US.

https://southfront.org/chinas-maritime-strategic-realignment/ The US is fighting for the petro-dollar, the idea of being the "only super power". Thereby the basic conflict is between the US and Russia,China. The EU has its own interests-in eastern europe and around the globe. When these interests are in danger due to "unwise activities" it will influence (old) relations (with the US, Israel, Gulf States).

DJ: the http://thebulletin.org/clock/2017 is still two-and-a-half to twelve. In my opinion for climate change we may be getting to two-and-a-half to twelve the next morning. Geo-political the situation requires a shift in US-basic thinking. The US economy has made itself dependent on fossil fuels and export of weapons to states "wich do not support democracy or human rights". With more than half the worl population living in Asia, Eur-Asia and Africa being closely linked (the present wars are at the linking point-the middle east) the US viewpoint becomes more and more unrealistic.

Trump did get elected because he wanted to work with Russia. The world did change the last 50 years-economic growth is now in Asia. The US did not invest enough in good US infrastructure, healthcare etc.. To put it bluntly; when the US wants to polute and spread war around the globe it will loose all its friends and end up in chaos.

Turkey does not want a Kurdish state near its borders:

Russian observers leaving Kurdish Afrin area in NW Syria.

The US is claiming Syria is preparing to use chemical weapons against their own people-eventhough pro-Assad forces are winning the war and the "rebels" need "a chemical false flag" for western intervention. http://www.debka.com/newsupdatepopup/20934/US-prevented-imminent-Syrian-chemical-weapon-attack-Mattis)

Other reports http://thesaker.is/the-latest-escalation-in-syria-what-is-really-going-on/, the use of Russian and Iran missiles in Syria-indicate that a largescale western-backed attack would be answered. http://www.theamericanconservative.com/articles/dispatch-from-the-middle-east-u-s-buildup-all-about-iran/ The US presence in Syria (DJ and Iraq) is to stop Iran (DJ and Russia).

DJ: Assad wants to control all of Syria. The Kurdish groups are doing a lot of fighting in northern Syria-for the duration backed by the US (DJ and Israel, to a certain level NATO and even Russia-with observers east and west of a Turkish sector). When Turkey fights "Kurdish terrorists" in Syria it could help Assad weakening the Kurdish role in Syria. (Syria, Iran, Turkey and NATO/US in the past all worked against the Kurds getting their own state.)

Turkey has been supporting IS in Syria and Iraq for several years-selling stolen oil, delevering (western) weapons, allowing IS-fighters/terrorists to cross borders (also towards the EU !!).  Pushing the Kurds in northern Syria gives IS some room. The US wants IS to fight against Assad-it allowed IS to move its "fighters" from Mosul, Raqqa etc to fight against Assad-up to a certain level even IS groups were renamed-became "moderate rebels".

Israel has its own "rebel groups" both IS and "moderate" east of rhe Golan Heighrs as a proxy army to keep Iran and Hezbollah away from the Golan border area. Israel was giving these "rebels" medical care, providing them with weapons, food/water and when needed air defense.

From the south IS getting supplies via Jordan, Iraq-from their main sponsor Saudi Arabia (wich buys a lot of the military goods from the US and UK). (Qatar is a al-quada-moderate terrorist group sponsor).

All put together: Assad is winning the war in Syria. The longer the west waits with an invasion on false grounds the harder it will get to stop the Teheran-Beirut-link. The US claims it wants to stay in Syria (with several bases) but Russia can not allow that. The Kurds proberbly are already having talks with Assad, Iran and Russia about their future in Syria.

With the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2017_G20_Hamburg_summit on the agenda for July 7-8, 4th of July in the US may see a false flag. Also elsewere "groups" may try to influence this meeting of world leaders.

-IS may plan major actions in the EU/US (elsewere-another region taken over by IS in southern Thailand ? Bosnia ?), another chemical/gas attack for wich the west blames Assad.
-Ukraine might attack (pro)Russian forces and claim to be the victum of "Russian agression".
-North Korea may do its nuclear test ?
-Saudi Arabia could attack Qatar, Iraq, Syria "to fight terrorism"? Turkey is already fighting Kurdish "terrorists"-wich can escalate into invasions into Syria and Iraq.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_federal_election,_2017 Merkel want to show the world Germany (and the EU) can play a significant role (when some other "leaders"fail. http://mother-earth.net/climate-politics/eu-in-potential-collision-with-trump-over-climate-issue).

G20 Hamburg-Messe:

http://theduran.com/russia-expert-stephen-cohen-and-tucker-carlson-explain-why-trump-putin-meeting-was-a-huge-win-for-the-world/-DJ: I think it is very good news Trump and Putin had a good conversation ! They may not agree at all issues-when the conclusion can be that "talking is better than fighting" it is already a big succes ! http://thesaker.is/the-first-putin-trump-meeting-yields-something-very-close-to-nothing/ (Words are not yet actions).

https://syria.liveuamap.com/en/2017/8-july-tillerson-maybe-russia-has-the-right-approach-to-syria-in many western countries there is serious doubt wether replacing Assad by IS would be good for anybody-maybe "the West-leadership" may get the point.

Allthough the G20-nations represent 66% of the population and 80% of global trade http://theduran.com/president-putin-and-xis-meeting-in-moscow-is-far-more-important-than-the-g20/ China-Russian cooperation may be more important-are Russia and China taking a leading global role ? The EU-(Canada, Mexico) and US are more and more in disagreement. At this G20-alternative for the UN-Trump may find himself isolated.

The Hyundai Research Institute comes to a 9% economic GDP growth for North Korea as an explanation how NK can make the weapons. http://theduran.com/truth-north-korea-booming/

China and Russia are blocking US plans for intervention in NK. Maybe China and Russia can find a way to reduce tensions ? https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/07/world/americas/united-nations-nuclear-weapons-prohibition-destruction-global-treaty.html
