I am sorry that I can't post the graphs here from https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/#countries, but near the top there is a graph showing 'New Daily Cases' next to one showing 'Daily Deaths'.  Given lower weekend reporting it is good to select the '7-day moving average' option.

Comparing the two graphs the rise in cases since April has not translated into an increased number of deaths,  This could be due to a number of reasons, one of which is better testing.  Another reason could be that doctors have discovered better ways of treating those who become sick.

I am grateful that the medical profession keeps on learning, and applying what it has learnt.  Without that the world would have been in a much worse place than it is now (and reported deaths from Corvid-19 at over 2 million instead of around 875 000).
